Valentin: Was hat er gebracht? / Valentine: What did he bring?

Der Valentin, Liebe sollte er uns bringen. Mal wieder Geschenke. Und eine Medaille (oder zwei, oder drei). Tja, den meisten hat er maximal eines gebracht, das ein oder andere Geschenk. Ersteres ist hier kaum zu erwarten, ganz aktuell mal wieder wegen der Sache mit der Ukraine (keine Sorge, das bleibt die einzige RL-Anspielung heute). Und die Medaillen, naja, wohl auch den wenigsten. Falls es euch interessiert, kann ich mal über meine Valentins-Woche berichten. Interessiert nicht? Na dann lest halt nicht weiter.

Ich hatte am Ende gut 20.000 Prestige Punkte geschafft. Das ist für mich schon sehr, sehr ordentlich. In normalen Wochen liege ich zwischen 4- und 5.000. Leider habe ich mich darauf verlassen, dass es in der Woche relativ häufig epische Schlachten geben wird. Daher habe ich am Dienstag zwar schon sehr viel getan, aber es wäre definitiv noch mehr gegangen. War eine Fehleinschätzung. Hin und wieder konnte ich zwar auch an den anderen Tagen Epic Battles finden, aber es gab meinerseits auch viele "normale" Kämpfe, um die Energie nicht zu verschenken. Wie geschrieben, gut 20.000 Prestige Punkte waren es am Ende. Ich habe dafür netto rund 500 Energieriegel ausgegeben. (Keine Sorge, ich habe noch genug.) Aber ist schon ganz ordentlich. Solch einen Aufwand betreibe ich nur in besonderen Wochen. Aber ich hatte halt auch dieses Ziel: 200 Geschenke verteilen, um zumindest die erste Medaille zu erhalten.
Ihr könnt euch denken, wie es ausgegangen ist - nicht gut. Und das habe ich auch recht schnell gemerkt. Am Ende hatte ich gerade einmal 75 Geschenke unter die Leute gebracht. Ihr seht die Diskrepanz, da fehlten noch 125. Da es diese komischen Schlüssel auf der PP-Leiste je weiter man nach hinten kam, immer seltener gab, hätte ich schon noch ziemlich viel tun müssen, um auch 200 zu kommen. Keine Ahnung wie weit, aber das war es mir dann doch nicht wert. Klar, ich hätte Gold einsetzen können, um mit Energieriegel zu kaufen. Habe ich anfangs sogar einmal getan. Aber das hätte schon einiges an Goldeinsatz bedeutet. So dringend wollte ich diese Medaille dann doch nicht. Da gibt es spannendere Events.

Tja, Fazit des Ganzen: Entweder hat sich unser allseits geliebter Plato enorm verhauen, oder die Medaille sollte nur ein ganz kleiner Anteil der Spieler hier bekommen. Für "normale" Spieler wie mich, war sie unerreichbar. Ich hoffe mal, dass das nächste Event auch für unsereiner wieder etwas spannender wird.

Valentine, he should bring us love. Again gifts. And a medal (or two, or three). Well, he brought most of us one of this, one or two presents. The former is hardly to be expected here, very recently because of the Ukraine thing (don't worry, that's the only RL allusion today). And the medals, well, probably only a few. If you are interested, I can tell you about my Valentine's week. Not interested? Then don't read any further.

At the end of the day, I had achieved a good 20,000 prestige points. That's very, very neat for me. In normal weeks I'm between 4-5,000. Unfortunately, I've been counting on there being relatively frequent epic battles throughout the week. That's why I did a lot on Tuesday, but I definitely could have done more. Was a misjudgment. Every now and then I was able to find epic battles on the other days, but there were also many "normal" fights on my part so as not to waste the energy. As written, it was a good 20,000 prestige points in the end. I spent about 500 net energy bars on it. (Don't worry, I still have enough.) But it's pretty neat. I only go to such lengths on special weeks. But I also had this goal: Distribute 200 gifts to at least get the first medal.
You can imagine how it turned out - not good. And I noticed that pretty quickly. In the end I had just given 75 gifts to the people. You can see the discrepancy, there were still 125 missing. Since these strange keys on the PP bar became less and less common the further back you got, I would have had to do quite a lot to get 200 as well. I have no idea how far, but it wasn't worth it to me. Sure, I could have used gold to buy energy bars. I even did it once at first. But that would have meant a lot of gold use. I didn't really want that medal that badly. There are more exciting events out there.

Well, the bottom line: either our beloved Plato messed up badly, or only a very small percentage of the players here should get the medal. For "normal" players like me, it was unattainable. I hope that the next event will be a little more exciting for us as well.
