SoYC-11-1 --- DEGENERATE ART VIENNA 2023


Undisputed cultural center of Austria and Europe, Vienna, added a true gem to its collection of supreme fine art. Let us all give a standing ovation to the new sculpture called „WirWasser“.











It is truly an amazing achievement for the human race. At the cost of only 1.5 million EUR. Obviously, not all the money went to the artist group - some of the funds were paid back to selected City council members.

The authors of this magnificient work of art are Vienna-based collective „Gelatin“. Gelatin group is known for their superb creations.



So Brave.


So Stunning.


They literally put their dicks into the clay. True art knows no limits.

Gelatin is a veteran group of talented artists. Here we can see Gelatin working on their installation, on the 91st floor of World Trade Center 1, New York USA, back in the year 2000.



They decided to install „balcony“ on WTC1. For whatever reason.






One of the obstacles to overcome was that one could not open the windows on the ninety-first floor. In fact, it was illegal to open any of the building’s windows, for obvious reasons.

Gelatin had to devise a way to carve out the putty that surrounded the windowpanes, and carefully detach the glass. Then they needed to construct a balcony.







A few months after Gelatins illegal intervention into WTC tower statics, a kidnapped aircraft hit 2 floors above Gelatin`s installation, and the whole building collapsed.
