Interview with current President of the United Kingdom- jamesw

Day 908, 04:45 Published in United Kingdom Israel by Mike Cromwell

Welcome in a next article in my newspaper. Yours and my guest is the current President of eUnited Kingdom- jamesw.

K0munista: So we start from begining, at first introduce yourself, who You are, what you are doing, how old you are, etc.
jamesw: I’m jamesw, a student at a small university in Wales, UK. I am studying law and international politics and I am in my first year. I’m 19 ^__^.

K0munista: In real life you are calm or rather opposite?
jamesw: Very calm ^__^, I would never get upset/annoyed about the internet, but I can sometimes get angry at things.

K0munista: Well, for how long are you playing eRepublik, how did you foundout about it?
jamesw: I’ve played properly for about 6 months, but i think i signed up about 8-9 months ago. I found out through facebook.

K0munista: How much eRep did influenced Your life, was there anything You didn't finished because of this game?
jamesw: Erep takes up a lot of my time, but i have never suffered because of it! I think I stayed to have a meeting about something instead of having a shower once, but that’s it xD.

K0munista: How was beginning of Your game looking?
jamesw: I was fortunate enough to find the UK community, and from there things were very easy, I was in congress and gov within a month.

K0munista: And after some time you have become Minister of Employment and Government Advisor, tell us more about these duties, what was Your work about, was it hard?
jamesw: The minister of employment is basically tasked with ensuring there are skill 0 jobs for our players. Once people are there we help them learn the game, advise them what to do and ensure that they know how to fight/heal and do all the basic things. Then we help them get their next job in my month as an advisor, I was basically helping the government work out its finances; we have a lot of great economists in the UK - for such a small country, we have a huge amount of income, and a big government bank balance I was also the minister of profit in the UK, where i ran a couple of schemes and companies to ensure government profit

K0munista: And than You have won elections and become President, how elections in UK looks? Full of flame or rather smooth and calm?
jamesw: It was a smooth election. I presented my plans and was the first president for a while to be backed by the left and the centre. There was resistance from other parties, but their candidate backed out so it wasn't a really close race. I was still worried about losing though, but luckily I won by a large margin.

K0munista: President... is it hard being him in UK - what are You doing normally, how much time does it cost You?
jamesw: The president in the UK is a long and hard job; I definitely spend a couple of hours a day doing things within the country, as well as spending a lot of time talking to some of our great allies and phoenix friends. I don’t mind it though, the atmosphere is great and I have a lot of really close friendships because of it. It’s a lot of work, but its definitely worth the time and effort.

K0munista: Do you have any aid agencies to help young players?
jamesw: Yes. We have quite a few. We have one which ensures that all new players are messaged, regardless of where they live or work. We also have (as i mentioned before) the ministry of employment which speaks at length with new people who join their companies. We also have a gifting agency which helps new players who have forgotten to heal after fighting But the great thing about the UK is that even though the government does all of this, normal people also help by gifting and mentoring people; so as a community we also help people.

K0munista: Not long time age, we have seen attack on Great Britain, occupation of most of her regions without London. What do You think about later talkings in case of taking back these regions from EDEN?
jamesw: I think that at the time, it was the right decision. We also saw eHungary do a similar deal, although not with everyone. I didn't mind the agreement; it was a sound choice and without it not only would the UK not be here, but Brazil would also have lost the battle against north of brazil the next time ePeru hit; the RW that was started in NoB was actually originally given from the UK because of the money we saved not having to tank in london (but our allies paid back) - This RW gave NoB back. I think that in both the UK and hungary, it is absolutely the right choice. Anyone with any knowledge about the game mechanics, or the intricacies of the war module will agree with me there; it’s silly to try and win battles against so many nations; eventually you will run out of money or have other more important battles. What I would say in, in both cases, is that the outrage that was caused was because of the way the decision wa announced; if people had laid out why they were doing it and explained it before just proposing the peace; there would have been much less resistance.

K0munista: Where do You see the best place for expansion of UK?
jamesw: Realistically, the UK has a lot of things it needs to do before it can ever hope to expand I don’t think we should aim to expand yet; we need to emulate what the eRomanians did when they lost all of their iron we need to focus domestically, whilst helping our allies in their fights, and slowly build our strength then when no-one expects it, we can wipe out those gorram eSwedes.

K0munista: What do you think about pTO of eNorway, Admins reaction on it and short gladios cadency?
jamesw: I think if there is cheating involved, its fine to get involved. My issue with the decision is that not only did they initially let the result stand, they also basically took a Q5 hospital off the UK, and left a spanish MPP open against us; if you want to reverse things thats fine - but you have to be consistent and reverse everything. We were basically punished for the cheating, in which we had no part, or any knowledge of.

K0munista: What do You want to gain in eRep, what are Your dreams about, plans in future, next presidency?
jamesw: My dream is to bring something great to the UK: whether that’s a babyboom, lots of gold, or guiding us through a tough war. I would judge myself solely on how the UK faired. In the future, of course I want more presidencies: but I have to be realistic, I need to give other people a chance too

K0munista: When were you angry at EDEN (specially ePoland) the most? In case of?
jamesw: It’s a game, I don’t really get angry at people! EDEN wants EDEN to win, PHX wants PHX to win. The only thing about this game I would get angry about is cheating, whoever does it. there were a couple of times a while ago where it seemed impossible that your CP was online to block us from attacking; but other than that not really.

K0munista: What do You expect from V2 Module, what are You doing in Your country about it, as a president, did You organised something about it?
jamesw: You can't plan for V2 really. I've spoken to a lot of people who were involved when erep changed from beta to V2 - All I have asked to be organized is people be aware. We can't plan properly, because no-one really knows what V2 will bring. All we can do is try and ensure that admins don’t undo all of our hard work.

K0munista: What countries will be leaders in Your opinion next year?
jamesw: eSerbia and eBrazil and hopefully the UK. 😃

K0munista: What are your most unforgettable moments in this game?
jamesw: I'd let the people who don't like me talk about those xD.

K0munista: Greatest fail?
jamesw: I forgot to use the hospital once and it wasn't that long ago! 😃

K0munista: Have You got nice meetings in real life are You taking a part in, joining them?
jamesw: Too many people live too far away for that to ever happen. 🙁

K0munista: How many players are You in contact with in real life?
jamesw: I got to the same university as mr woldy i know quite a few people from facebook, so i'd say maybe 10 or 11 people I know personally.

K0munista: Saying honest, UK isn't a great leader in eRep, to come to the top You should have BB, do You have any idea to gain it?
jamesw: We have lots of plans in the pipeline; the UK will boom one day, and when we, we may repay the favour you did in our invasion

K0munista: I'm wishing you luck in your game in future. Thanks for interview.
jamesw: ^__^ you too.
