I'm doing fine

Day 5,329, 21:25 Published in Canada Turkey by Karl004

A bit late, but I got the chance to attend the Canadian F1 GP last weekend. It was an absolute blast! I found the perfect spot around the track to take full advantage of my general admission ticket. At the last chicane of the lap, right in front of the entry of the pit lane and just before the Wall of Champions. Ground level.

That spot is special because it is right at the end of the speed trap, where the cars are at their fastest. Then, they have to slow down from 330km/h to 130km/h in about a second and a half before taking that blind bravery chicane that leads straight to a ''Bonjour Québec'' concrete wall if you are not executing it perfectly. About thirty cars just went straight through the chicane during the race by fear of losing their car in it, which they get punished for by losing speed and trajectory on re-entry.

Three years was too long of a pause. Montreal is not the same without its GP. If you ever have a chance to attend a Formula One GP, even if you are not a racing fanatic, don't miss it. Until next year, so you at the Wall.
