Hi, I'm your least favorite pirate, Dirty Scarlet Silverbeard.

Today we're going to sadly talk about the fundamentals of politics and why it is important to vote in your local eRep elections.

Every month, 3 things happen: County President, Party President, and Congressional elections.

Regardless of what political or military affiliation you are part of in eRepublik, it is always important to vote. When choosing between someone who has Plan A, or another guy who has Plan B, your vote has the final say.

They are representing you and what your beliefs are. Kind of like real life minus the Twitter.

eRepublik is kind of icky at times when it comes to playing with politics. But think about it. Laying out the map of how we function day to day in eRep is kind of like LARPing.

We make our own political rules besides what the in-game mechanics have laid out for us

You, the voter, get to decide which path we take, no matter what elements are on the table. Do you want to live the life of a member of the WTP? Or do you want to be civilized and have a gaming experience fun for everyone, yet competitive.

Start off by volunteering for a political position in your local party; it really grabs the experience of how real life politics work.

Take me for example, I wrote an article about my personal journey and adventures of partaking in local government and the like. (I will someday work on Part 2. Just need to have a heart after losing all my writing material from the original part 2).

I would highly recommend starting off in party politics as the game mechanics are simple, then move onto Congress (which becomes difficult as heck) and then, get your VIP EXPERIENCE on becoming country president for our great nation.

So, with that being sai😛 Your vote has a huge meaning to it no matter how big or small your party or country.

Because you never know, you could be in charge of a military alliance someday.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk…. Have a great weekend.
