[MoD] Your Country Needs You To FLY!

Day 4,808, 08:43 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Ministry of Defence

Pilot Rewards

The only way to become a better pilot is to fight in the air and increase your air rank, so to incentivize this behaviour we are pleased to announce that we will be paying out 3cc per air kill with the following limitations:

• To help focus our damage, air kills in battles we intend to lose will only count half
• There will be a cap of 5,000 kills (15,0000 cc) per week for each individual
• Only eUK citizens of level 20 or higher are eligible
• You must do at least 100 kills for the week to qualify

The scheme will start at day change tonight to coincide with the Weekly Rewards, and an article will be published each Tuesday following showing the rewards each pilot has earned. Any pilot who comments on that article will be sent their reward.

Junior Ace Pilot Program

The UK has a couple of established "ace" pilots (Piran and Rory), and some other strong air accounts (such as Cat Sith, Select28 and FragUK) who are all capable of helping us control the skies (and cash in on Sky Hero medals along the way). But what about the up-and-coming pilots trying to reach those heights without quite having the damage to collect their share of the Sky Hero gold?

To help encourage these pilots, Minister of Education Athena. has volunteered to run a secondary air program focusing on rewarding the best of our next wave of pilots. The details of this program are:

• Only eUK citizens with an air rank at or below Chief Master Sergeant ***** and a ground strength below 150k will be eligible
• Eligible pilots will be ranked based on air kills each week with the top ten receiving rewards as follows:

1st Place: 10 gold, 2,000 cc
2nd Place: 5 gold, 2,000 cc
3rd-5th Place: 2,000 cc
6th-10th Place: 1,000 cc

We will monitor both of these programs over the coming weeks to see how effective they are and whether we need to tweak the terms, but we hope this will help the UK build an air force that will stand us in good stead in times of conflict. We'll also be looking at ways to push our top tanks to progress through the Legend ranks on the ground, more to come on that...

Ukranian Training War

As announced in the official MoFA paper here:

[eUK MoFA] - Training War between eUkraine and eUK Agreement

we have initiated a TW with our old allies Ukraine. This was kicked off by an airstrike to get us into Zaporozhia on Thursday - thank you to everyone who spent damage to ensure that we landed successfully - and will continue in ping pong fashion with us winning when they attack Zaporozhia and losing when we attack Donbas. This kind of excursion outside our own borders has become a rarity in recent years, hopefully as we grow as a nation we'll be able to get involved in regular overseas adventures, making new friends (and possibly enemies) along the way.

Training War Schedule

We've all done a good job in keeping our other TWs running smoothly over the last week, with every campaign being won or lost to plan. To help keep that momentum going, this should make it clear how our existing wars are intended to run:

Everyone is encouraged to cash in on the Battle Hero and Sky Hero medals on the UK side in ANY of our campaigns, but as always please be mindful of pushing walls in campaigns we're supposed to lose.

Supply Drop

As there was no rewards system in place this week, to make sure everyone is prepared for the coming Weekly Challenge we're providing 20 q7 weapons and 400 q5 food to all eUK citizens who comment below.
