I made an interview with Frank Maiden, who is the leader of the biggest anti-Asteria alliance. I asked him about the alliance Andes and about the relationship between Andes and other countries (like Hungary).

Would you first introduce yourself?
Hello, I'm Frank M. I'm argentinean and I live in Buenos Aires. Currently I'm studying at the Med School and I started playing eR about 10 years ago, however I havent played the game that much between 2011-2013 and 2015-2016
I've been in the MoFA team for about 6-7 years now, first starting as an ambassador un the Ukraine, then Hungary and then vMoFA until 2013 I was asigned as MoFA.

You're the leader of the strongest anti-Asteria alliance. But I can see, You were citizen of Asteria countries, like Romania or Serbia. May I ask You to say something about it?
Yeah, Back in the day, after the collapse of Eden and the end of CoTWO Argentina alligned with TWO countries, specially because long-time enemies like Macedonia (fyrom), bulgaria and Chile (now allies) were in CoT. As an ambassador, and because I managed to make some friends I went to Romania, nigeria and Serbia.
In the recent years I went to Spain and UK (I have friends there too) so the its more or less a thing about guys I met and get along with. So basically its something more personal than my duties as MoFA

Can you tell me, what is the job of the leader of an alliance?
Well, you are the head of the alliance, however I'm not alone, and There is also a team on my side, like the SoFA (a mofa of the alliance) and the SC (Alliance mod) So it makes my job more relaxing. On my duties as Alliance Leader I have to organise meetings, solve internal affairs, and together with the HQ and the alliance assambly take desitions, make sugestions, contact and keep in touch with alliance and non-alliance countries.

Some members of your alliance is partially occupied by other members (like Bolivia or Mexico). Why?
We did it to prevent attacks on those countries, and in a possibly landing avoid major breakthrough on other members. Those occupations are friendly though, since they are used also to TW with allies and friendly countries, like Turkey in mexico, with Argentina, and Hungary in Bolivia, with Chile holding a region too.

Your Alliance occupied Iran. How long can you maintain these territorys? And why Asteria doesn't help to their allies?
I cant tell exactly for how long, because I dont have an answer. perhaps we can mantain them 1 year, or two more days. The only certain thing I know is that we are going to give a fight for each cm of ground we've taken.
As I'm concerned, Im not sure if they are not helping. What I have seen in the last months is that Asteria can take devastating strikes and seems to be unprepared and routing, but also has enough strenght to hold together as one and then reppel the invaders in the long term (You can see what happened in USA).

Who are the main external allies of Andes?
The main non-Andes allies are Croatia, Turkey, Cyprus, Hungary, Egypt, South Korea and many others, Honestly we have many, I just named the first ones I thought of

What do you think about Hungary as an ally, and as a TW partner?
Hungary, difficult question because I have some personal issues with Hungary.
As a TW partner I find them fine, sometimes both Arg-Hun fall asleep and gotta fight the tws a bit harder to correct the wall in the battles.
As an ally, sometimes hungary let me down, at least in the past, not a long time ago I may say, I'm not blaming the citizens of course, but before you left (or got kicked) of Pacifica, and in the aftermath, it seemed like depending on the politician who was in charge you were a bit more anti-asteria and then a bit more shy with some actions and in the need of some allies.

And finally: Why is Andes better, than the Asteria?
Hmm. Tricky one. I find Andes and its allies to be more coordinate when launching strikes, focusing on certain objectives and then trying to achieve them as soon as possible.
Asteria, on the other hand, has already won the game, hasnt it? As I said upthere, they can take heavy strikes, low blows and yet they end up giving a fight.
I think that now it's working their lack of coordination, a bit of internal affairs, perhaps some different objectives for each members of the alliance, why not.
Perhaps Serbia wants to rule the world, also bulgaria and Romania, but Portugal and Slovenia no?,
I Think they have that problem at the moment, however, dont understimate them, they fight hard and with great coordination when they can set up the strategy

Frank Maidennel készítettem interjút, aki a legnagyobb Asteria ellenes szövetség vezetője. Az Andes szövetségről és a szövetsége más országokkal (pl. Magyarország) való kapcsolatáról kérdeztem őt.

Először írnál pár szót magadról?
Hello, Frank M. vagyok, argentin. Buenos Airesben élek. Jelenleg a Med School (Orvosi Egyetem)-en tanulok. Körülbelül 10 éve kezdtem játszani az eR-kal, de volt egy kis kihagyásom 2011-2013 és 2015-2016 között. 6-7 évig a MoFA (Külügyminisztérium) csapatban voltam. Nagykövetként kezdtem Ukrajnában, majd Magyarországon. Majd 2013-ban vMoFa (Külügyminiszter-helyettes) MoFa-vá lettem kinevezve.

Te vagy a legerősebb Asteria ellenes szövetség vezetője. Úgy látom, hogy voltál Asteria tagállamok állampolgára is. Például román és szerb állampolgárságod is volt. Mondanál valamit erről?
Igen. A régi időkben az Eden felbomlás után és a CoTWO vége után Argentína beállt a TWO országai közé, mivel rég óta háborúban állt néhány országgal, mint Macedónia, Bulgária és Chile(most szövetségesek) és ők a CoT-ban voltak. Nagykövetkén, és hogy barátokat szerezzek, elmentem Romániába, Nigériába és Szerbiába. Az utóbbi években Spanyolországban és az Egyesült Királyságban voltam (ott is vannak barátaim). Szóval többé kevésbé a srácok miatt, akikkel találkoztam és még mindig kapcsolatban vagyok. Szóval inkább valami személyesebb, mint a MoFA kötelezettségeim.

Elmondanád, hogy mik a feladatai egy szövetség vezetőjének?
Nos, én vagyok a szövetség vezetője, de nem vagyok egyedül. Egy csapat van mellettem, mint a SoFA ( a szövetség MoFA-ja) és az SC (a szövetség MoD-ja (Hadügyminiszter)). Ez egy kicsit lazábbá teszi a munkám. A szövetség vezetői kötelezettségeim, hogy találkozókat szervezek, belső ügyeket intézek és együtt a szövetség vezetésével döntéseket hozok, javaslatokat teszek, tartom a kapcsolatot a szövetség tagállamaival és a szövetségen kívüli szövetségesekkel.

Néhány tagállamotok részlegesen el van foglalva más tagállamok által. Miért?
Azért, hogy megakadályozzuk ezen országok elleni támadásokat, és lehetséges landolásokat és jelentősebb áttöréseket más országok felé. Ezek a megszállások baráti alapúak. Ezek a területek TW helyszínként használhatóak, mint Törökország és Argentína Mexikóban, vagy Magyarország Bolíviában, ahol Chilének is vannak területei.

Kik az Andes legfőbb szövetségesei?
A legfőbb nem Andes szövetségeseink Horvátország, Törökország, Magyarország, Dél-Korea, és még jó pár. Szerencsére vannak néhányan. Csak azokat neveztem meg, akik először eszembe jutottak.

Mit gondolsz Magyarországról, mint szövetséges és mint TW partner?
Magyarország, nehéz kérdés, mivel van néhány személyes kérdésem Magyarország felé. Mint TW partner, jónak találom őket. Néha mind Arg-Hun oldal elalszik és néha nehezebb kijavítani a falat ezekben a csatákban.
Mint szövetséges, néha Magyarország elengedett. Főleg a múltban. Mondhatom, nem is olyan régen. Nem a polgárokat hibáztatom ezért. Mielőtt Magyarország elhagyta (vagy ki lett rúgva) a Pacificát, úgy tűnik, politikai vezetéstől függően, kicsit Asteria ellenesebb ország lett és kicsit félénkebb volt néhány akcióban a szövetségesek mellett.

És végül: Miért jobb az Andes, mint az Asteria?
Hmm. Trükkös kérdés. Szerintem az Andes koordináltabb a támadások során, jobban odafigyel a célra és mihamarabb megpróbálja elérni azt.
A mások oldalon az Asteria már megnyerte a játékot, nem? Ahogy fentebb említettem, ha erősebb támadást kapnak is, ők mégis harcolnak, nem adják fel. Úgy gondolom, most már a koordináció hiányzik náluk. Van néhány belső konfliktus is és a tagállamoknak eltérő, egyéni céljai vannak. Talán Szerbia szeretné uralni a világot, ahogy Bulgária vagy Románia, de Szlovénia és Portugália nem?
Szerintem ez a problémájuk mostanság, ennek ellenére ne becsüljük le őket. Nagyon keményen képesek harcolni és nagy a koordináltságuk, ha felállítanak egy stratégiát.
