[eBosnian MoFA] Interview to Joam02

We continue interviewing friends and different players from eRepublik. They allow us to ask questions of a different sort (crazy, serious, daring ones), just for the pleasure to meet our character a bit more.


I give you Joam02, the current dictator of eVenezuela.

Quién es Joam en el juego?/ Who's Joam in the game?

Joam02 creo que es un personaje principalmente muy arraigado a su pais, muy patriótico, alguien que se toma en serio lo que hace y que siempre piensa en el beneficio de todos, un amigo sincero siempre abierto al diálogo y a la diplomacia sincera, pero también alguien que no olvida quienes son sus enemigos y de donde viene, sufre de un alter-ego en ocasiones y gusta de los buenos artículos y la polémica; es alguien que gusta de celebrar sus logros en público (y trollea de ser necesario cuando la situación lo amerita :v )

I think Joam02 is a character deeply rooted in his country, very patriotic, someone who takes seriously what he does and always thinks of the benefit for all, a sincere friend always open to dialogue and a true diplomacy, but also someone that doesn't forget where he comes from and who his enemies are, he suffers from an alter-ego at times and likes good articles and controversy; he is someone who likes to celebrate their achievements in public (and trolls if necessary when the situation is worthy of such an effort.


Quién es el jugador detrás de Joam, hay alguna diferencia, nos cuentas algo de ti de la vida real (lo que desees compartir)/ Who is the person behind Joam, is there any difference, can you tell us something about you in real life (what you wanna share)?

Jajaja creo que realmente no fui muy ingenioso para diseñar el nick de mi personaje, mi nombre es Joam y soy de Venezuela en la RL, vengo de un pueblo pequeño y montañoso en la región central del país, tengo 22 años y estudié durante un tiempo Ingeniería Mecánica, a diferencia de mi personaje me considero alguien tranquilo, que disfruta de esas pequeñas cosas de la vida como una taza de café en las mañanas o el contemplar un atardecer, paso la mayor parte de mi día pensando, divagando y ese tipo de cosas jajaja a diferencia de mi personaje que es más activo y radical en ciertos aspectos o a la hora de tomar decisiones, pero en comparacion creo que el personaje que represento dentro del juego comparte varias similitudes con mi personalidad RL.

Hahaha I think I really wasn't very clever to design my character's nick, my name is Joam and I'm from Venezuela in the RL, I come from a small and mountainous town in the central region of the country, I'm 22 years old and studied Mechanical Engineering for a while; unlike my character, I consider myself a quiet person, who enjoys those little things in life like a cup of coffee in the mornings or watching a sunset, I spend most of my day thinking, rambling and that kind of things hahaha unlike my character who is more active and radical in certain aspects or when it comes to making decisions, but in comparison I think the character that I represent in the game shares several similarities with my personality RL.



Cuál es tu experiencia en el juego, cargos que ocupas y ocupaste, módulo que más te atrae/ What is your experience in the game, positions that you filled and are playing nowadays, module that attracts you the most...

Bueno, estoy en eRepublik desde mediados de 2013 (ya pronto cumplo 6 años desde que me registré acá) y desde entonces las experiencias que he tenido han sido muchas desde mis inicios hasta ahora, creo que me he involucrado en todos los ámbitos posibles del juego, algunos en mayor medida que otros, al principio me dedicaba a hacer lo que a todos los noobs nos repetían hasta el cansancio “Solo entrenar y Trabajar” así que obvie lo militar un poco y me interesé por el modulo politico y social de aquel entonces, desde ahí creo que fui dándome a conocer entre los de mi comunidad y fui tomando posición en la toma de decisiones de Venezuela, conocí muy buenas personas a lo largo de mi estadía en el juego, algunos siguen aquí y otros que por desgracia ya no están, he vivido experiencias muy buenas en este juego y otras malas, como todo pero haciendo un balance, creo que son más las alegrías que las frustraciones.

Desde que inicie, me llamó la atención la estrategia, lo militar y las Relaciones Internacionales, ocupe varios cargos dentro del gobierno de Venezuela como ayudante en el MoD, Embajador, viceMoFA etc, después de un tiempo donde se me complico la VR, me aleje del juego durante unos 2 años y solo me dedicaba al 2C, volví como en 2016 y desde entonces fui escalando posiciones dentro de nuestra comunidad, donde he sido CP, MoD y recientemente Dictador que creo es el único módulo que no había probado en el juego. A nivel internacional he sido SG, SC y SoFA de la alianza Andes en distintos periodos.

El modulo que mas me atrae sin duda es el militar, visualizar ese mapa para mi es como el tablero de un juego de mesa que solía jugar de niño (Risk), me gusta la idea diseñar estrategias, guerras, medir los tiempos entre leyes y todo eso. Mi pais es un país modesto y pequeño en daño en comparación con las grandes potencias del juego, sin embargo desde hace un año aproximadamente, hemos venido creciendo y escalando posiciones en este módulo y aspiro seguir trabajando en función de ello para hacer de Venezuela una nación más fuerte con más jugadores de rango Leyenda.

Well, I've been in eRepublik since mid-2013 (Soon, 6 years will be since I registered here) and since then I've had many experiences from my beginnings until now, I think I've been involved in all possible areas of the game, some more than others, at first I was dedicated to do what all the noobs repeated to us tired "Just train and work" so I overlooked the military a little and I was interested in the political and social module of that time, from there I think I was getting to be known among my community and I was taking a position in the decision making of Venezuela, I met very good people throughout my stay in the game, some are still here and others are no longer, unfortunately; I have lived very good experiences in this game and other bad ones, like everything but in the long run, I think there are more joys than frustrations.

Since I started, I was struck by the strategy, the military and International Relations, I held several positions within the government of Venezuela as an assistant in the MoD, Ambassador, viceMoFA, etc., after a time where the VR was complicated, I moved away from the game for about 2 years and I only dedicated to 2C, I returned in 2016 and since then I was climbing positions within our community, where I have been CP, MoD and recently Dictator that I think is the only module that had not tested in the game . Internationally I have been SG, SC and SoFA of the Andes alliance in different periods.

The most appealing module for me is undoubtedly the military, visualizing that map for me is like the board of a board game I used to play as a child (Risk), I like the idea of ​​designing strategies, wars, measuring the time between laws and all that. My country is a modest country and small in damage compared to the great powers of the game, however, for about a year, we have been growing and scaling positions in this module and I hope to continue working on it to make Venezuela a nation stronger with more players in the Legend rank.

Quiénes son tus cómplices /amigos de siempre acá en el juego/ Who are your accomplices and friends in the game at present??

Afortunadamente tengo una larga lista de buenas personas que he conocido a lo largo de mi tiempo en eRepublik, pero a quien definiría como mi cómplice acá sería a LuisaElena jaja, fue quien me recibió en IRC el primer dia que llegue al juego y desde entonces hemos tenido una muy buena relación de amistad, diría que hacemos muy buen equipo y nos llevamos muy bien, además de personajes como Talkewa, Alberto Chavez, Oavf, Cynthia Romero, LaGuayana, Nikita Fenix, xeco99 y algunos otros que aunque ya no están sembraron varias buenas enseñanzas y amistades en mi. Fuera de Venezuela, RedWolf77 de eChile ha sido un gran amigo, Zdlemmy de Croacia y me perdonan si olvidé mencionar a alguno.

Fortunately, I have a long list of good people that I have met throughout my time in eRepublik, but who I would define as my accomplice here would be LuisaElena: she was the one who received me on IRC the first day I arrived at the game and since then we've had a very good friendship, I would say that we make a very good team and we get along very well, in addition to characters like Talkewa, Alberto Chavez, Oavf, Cynthia Romero, LaGuayana, Nikita Fenix, xeco99 and some others that although they are not planted any good teachings and friendships in me. Outside of Venezuela, RedWolf77 from eChile has been a great friend, Zdlemmy from Croatia and they forgive me if I forgot to mention any of them.



Qué no volverías a hacer como jugador acá en eRepublik / por eRepublik / por amigos, alianzas, etc./ Is there anything that you would never do again in the game here in eRepublik/for eRepublik / for friends, alliances??

Algo que no volvería a hacer en este juego es tomar decisiones de manera apresurada, considero que cometí algunos errores puntuales por no meditar bien las consecuencias que traerian mis acciones pero que las hice pensando en el bien de todos

Por eRepublik creo no volvería a trasnocharme o dedicar tanto tiempo de mi vida como lo hacía antes, últimamente me he estado tomando las cosas con más calma pero sin perder el ritmo ni descuidando las cosas que considero puntuales para disfrutar del juego, me gusta el cómo se desarrolla todo el tema interno y como puede llegar a ser tan complejo algo que a simple viste se ve tan básico, creo que los admins pueden dar mas de si para mejorar la jugabilidad sin afectar las bases fundamentales de cómo está diseñado el mismo.

Something I wouldn't do in this game is to make decisions hastily, I believe I made some specific mistakes for not thinking well about the consequences that my actions would bring but I did them thinking for the good of all.

Because of eRepublik I think I wouldn't stay up late at night or spend as much time in my life as I did before, lately I've been taking things more calmly but without losing the pace or neglecting the things that I consider precise to enjoy the game, I like how the whole internal theme is developed and how something so simple can become so complex that it looks so basic, I think the admins can give more of themselves to improve the gameplay without affecting the fundamental bases of how it is designed.


Qué te sostiene jugando eRepublik, por qué sigues eligiendo entrar y clickear?/ What keeps you clicking here? why you still log in?

Realmente, la gente, ese montón de buenas personas que he conocido durante este tiempo, y en segundo lugar te diria que tambien sigo aquí por cierto grado de responsabilidad que siento con mi comunidad que aunque seamos pocos siguen aquí y no quisiera sentir que les fallé dejándolo todo a la deriva.

Really, the people, that bunch of good people that I've known during this time, and secondly I would say that I'm still here for a certain degree of responsibility that I feel with my community that although we are few are still here and I would not like to feel that I failed to leave everything adrift.

Momento de saber qué música te gusta, qué consumes de arte en tu vida cotidiana?/ The time to know what music you like better, what kind of art you have in your daily life?

La verdad es que me gustan todos los géneros musicales pero... lo que quiera escuchar depende mucho de mi estado de ánimo en ese momento, pero solo para mencionarte algunos, disfruto mucho oyendo nuestra música típica nacional (Musica Llanera), Rap, Electronica, Rock (sobre todo aquel de los 80’ 90’) bandas como Metallica, Guns & Roses, Scorpions, AC DC, Salsa etc. Me apasiona escribir, redactar mis ideas, mis sentimientos a veces en forma de poemas, otras veces solo terminan siendo un montón de párrafos inútiles jaja, pero creo que con eso es que termino desahogando un poco mis vivencias cada dia.







The truth is that I like all musical genres but ....what I want to listen depends a lot on my mood at that time, but just to mention some, I really enjoy listening to our typical national music (Music Llanera), Rap, Electronica, Rock (especially that of the 80 '90') bands like Metallica, Guns & Roses, Scorpions, AC DC, Salsa etc. I love writing, writing my ideas, my feelings sometimes in the form of poems, other times just end up being a lot of useless paragraphs haha, but I think that is what I end up venting a bit my experiences every day.

Después de varias vivencias fuertes en RL creo que hay una frase que mantiene viva mi esperanza para salir adelante cada dia y es parte de una canción de un rapero venezolano que dice “¿Por qué sufrir? Cuando puedes oir la mejor musica, la de tu corazón latir”, la verdad es que hay momentos en donde no nos damos cuenta del valor que tiene la vida hasta que tenemos de frente la muerte, me pasó algo así hace ya un par de años que me invitó a reflexionar y desde entonces empecé a ver la vida y a la gente que me rodea desde otra perspectiva.
