[CP] A Chunky Update

Day 4,125, 09:33 Published in Ireland Ireland by Aras an Uachtarain

Mo Chairde,

The past few days have seen quite a few events which are quite important and I would appreciate if you took the time to now read these changes. My apologies for taking so long to get this update out, however I'm currently being swamped with college work and writing articles is one of the last things I want to be doing whilst writing essays.

Re-Election

I'd like to thank the people of Ireland for re-electing me with over 50% of the vote in a three-horse race. It was a different style of election to normal with each of us three having something different about us. Unfortunately the majority saw me as best fit and I've to spend another month sucking on hard toffee sweets. Shame.

Commiserations to both Lizard King and Mike Bane for not stealing my place at the trough.

[USA - Roadtrip]

Our crusade across the USA is in full fight. I've made it my personal mission to visit every state (that we are allowed to). I've got a lovely scratch map on my wall to mark our progress. In all seriousness though, we are making our way to the South-West part of the United States of America. We will be setting up camp in Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma.

As a reminder,

Ireland is to win the directs against USA.

Ireland is to lose the resistance wars against USA.

[Italian Training War]

Our training war with Italy is working out pretty well. Auto-attack kicked in causing Italy to attack Mayo but we're so strong, we were able to repel their attack. In addition, Italy proved pivotal in preventing a Bulgarian excursion through our cores, so we owe them first round of pints.

As a reminder,

Ireland is to lose the directs against Italy.

Ireland is to win the resistance wars against Italy.

[Albanian Training War]

Albania and ourselves have commenced another training war. I'm still not 100% up to speed as to what the final situation will be with us moving to our new regions but sure look, it's no harm.

Keep an eye out for battle orders around these wars.

[Failed Wars]

Our good pals over in Greece asked us to airstrike them in one of their Iranian regions. We willingly complied as the Greeks have been a great ally to us for years and more than great the past few months. They even went as far as refilling our Airstrike. Unfortunately, the jealous country (I'll get to them later) got in the way and we had to abort the attack. This was a shame as I've never been to Iran. Also some of the Iranians seem like cool dudes (they give me hits) and I thought it would have been nice to visit them.

We also opened up a Training War with Argentina, unfortunately this collapsed just as fast as it started due to a few little hiccups and oversight. Ah well.

[Battle Orders]

I'm still working on getting our battle order system as effective as possible. In order to keep frequent and regular updates on the National Feed as well as in the Battle Orders article (I won't give up on this project just yet), I've assembled a team comprising of:

Keep an eye out and make sure to vote their posts to let us know you're reading them!

[Quality Articles]

Just before my last term, I pledged a 100,000cc sponsorship of good quality articles. For every good quality article published in the Irish media, the writer in question would receive 2,500cc. I'm not sure how much my budget has been spent but I want to keep this project going and so I will. Only one article a week from a journalist will be counted though.

[National (Air)Strike]

We will be hosting a National (Air)Strike this Sunday, the 10th of March. I strongly encourage every citizen to attend as there's always a bit of a craic and it makes for a nice change to fight alongside your fellow countrymen.

Where: eIreland Discord.

When: Sunday, 12:00 eRepublik Time

[Bulgaria]

As you are all aware, Bulgaria still occupy Cork. We gave them a tough fight on Wednesday so much that we had epic rounds and they also had to buy air damage to beat us. We put up a good fight but to win against a country ranked in the top 5 is always going to be difficult.

Bulgaria have put different requests to me, they've offered a peaceful solution in exchange for a training war and even if we just fought against our ally Greece for them. We have rejected all of these offers.

We will not be bullied.

Slua
