[Congress Debate] Rework of Special voting procedures
UNL Congress
Greetings, citizens of Netherlands,
A new debate has been opened at the request of President Janty F:
"Based on the long-term experience in Dutch Congress, I would like to propose a rework of "Special voting procedures". The current law holds five paragraphs - one connected to the emergency procedures, one to MoNC, two to repetitive proposals, and one relic of the past when votes required to have a link to the Forum for explanation. My proposal is aiming to simplify the last three paragraphs:
- joining the two paragraphs about repetitive proposals, which serves merely as an incomplete list of laws, into one shorter paragraph, which however adds up the curiously missing (and vital) requirement of explaining the nature of repetitive vote to the Congress (which is always needed, if only to explain new Congress memebrs, what is going on)
- removing the necessity to put link to the vote ( since most of in-game votes are based on informations announced and shared in in-game Congress messages, to which you cannot link)
Therefore I propose to change the text of current Special Voting Procedures from the current version(http://wiki.erepublik.com/index.php/Congress_Rules_of_the_Netherlands)
to:
8.1. The Government can use an emergency procedure to start a vote immediately. The instigator will immediately state his reasons in a relevant debating section of Congress.
8.2. The Congress of the eNetherlands can at any time propose a Motion of No Confidence. In this procedure, debate and vote can be opened at the same time. In case of a two-thirds majority withdrawing confidence, the official(s) in question are discharged from office immediately.
8.3. Repetitive in-game proposals required by the obligations of the Government can skip the debating procedure, however they require to be announced in a relevant debating section of Congress."
Final vote count:
Yes/Ja: 15
No/Nee: 5
Neutral/Neutraal: 0
Proposal accepted.

Oh ja het slechte verleden waar elk lid van de bevolking die geïnteresseerd was nog kon lezen en meedoen met dat soort congres discussies...
Sie können jetzt diese öffentliche Zeitung benutzen zu diskutieren 🙂 .
Articles can be linked. It’s more about the congress pm I guess since that is kept from the public.
If we exclude the slurs, there is not really any important information "kept from the public". Which, in majority, is in Congress anyway,
And if "the public" thought something is missing, things can always be disclosed anyway.
None of that is relevant to the topic though 🙂
