Lie 1: "NATO does not threaten anyone"

Let us ask about this the people of Yugoslavia, the people of Afghanistan, the people of Iraq, Libya, the people of Cyprus occupied by a 'NATO ally'. But also the people of Ukraine, who have become a boxing bag for at least 10 years between two imperialist camps, NATO – USA – EU on the one hand and Russia on the other, counting thousands of deaths. NATO was, is and will be an aggressive alliance, an alliance of war, it has never been "defensive". NATO, too, not only did not dissolve itself after the overthrow of socialism and the dissolution of the USSR, but expanded to the east, against what the US and NATO had committed to in the 90s. After haggling for a period of time with the Russian capitalists on the possibility of Russia joining NATO, then, when this did not come out, they formed a war doctrine with the barrels directed at Russia as well as China.

Lie 2: "NATO bears no responsibility for the situation in Ukraine"

NATO is an important part of the problem together with the US and the EU on the one hand and Russia on the other. NATO's "non-interference" in Ukraine is a lie. It is now known to all the role they played in the overthrow of the Yanukovych government in 2014 with a leading role of the U.S. Embassy, headed by the current Ambassador to Greece, J. Pyatt. Just a few days ago, the NATO Secretary-General, at a press conference, said that "since 2014 NATO has equipped and trained the Ukrainian army". It should also be noted that an official part of the Ukrainian army is also various Nazi battalions, such as the Azov, etc., which were photographed with pride with NATO and Nazi banners!
As for what NATO's expansion to the east means, some of the remarks of the most chilling gurus of US diplomacy are indicative. For example, we mention the words of H. Kissinger in 2014: "Ukraine should not join NATO", or the words of the current US president in 1997: "The only thing that could provoke a 'violent and hostile' Russian response would be for NATO to expand to the Baltic states." Lie 3: "In Ukraine there are no Nazi right-wing extremists with a role – NATO and the EU do not support them"

That's a myth. In Ukraine, as was the case in the Baltic states, after the dissolution of the USSR, far-right and fascist groups were resurrected, set out to historically vindicate collaborators of the Nazis and those who fought against the USSR. This became official in Ukraine in 2010. Then they were recognized as heroes of Ukrainian freedom, collaborators of the Nazis in World War II. This gave impetus to the rise of the far right and at the same time to the attack on what was reminiscent of the Soviet past. In the events of 2013-2014, fascist groups acted as a strike force under the flags of the EU and NATO, organizing provocations, assassinations, attacks, terrorist acts that enabled the overthrow of the then legitimately elected government. Communists, trade unionists and Russian speakers were targeted. The Ukrainian Communist Party was outlawed, its offices were destroyed, its cadres were persecuted, etc. Members of these forces and parties (Nazis, right-wing extremists, etc.) played a political role in the following years and during the Poroshenko presidency. They took up high-ranking positions in government and administration. In fact, until 2016 the government was led by parties with extreme nationalist positions. At the same time, on the occasion of the civil war in Donbass, the assault battalions were organically integrated into the country's security forces and army.

Lie 4: "Every country chooses freely whether or not to be in NATO"

How a country chooses to join an interstate imperialist organisation, such as NATO, is anything but a free choice. NATO's history has shown that it does not hesitate in the face of anything to ensure the spread of its influence.
The most recent example is North Macedonia. Its accession was decided by the Prespa agreement (signed by the SYRIZA government and the Zaev government), while its people were asked to give their opinion on the country's accession to NATO in an "advisory" referendum (vote for you, but we have decided that no matter what you vote for!), in which the participation by force reached 37%. The vote in the Skopje Parliament on the Prespa agreement (and therefore the accession to NATO and the EU provided for in the agreement) took place in an unprecedented climate of blackmail and strange news about "votes in return"...
If you consider that a month ago we learned that in Greece they were giving bags of money for one vote in 2007 in the parliamentary elections, anyone can think about what happens when it comes to making a decision with geopolitical impact on a chessboard with many competitors...

Lie 5: "NATO is a guarantee against revisionism"

NATO has revisionism in its DNA and has proven it with the wars it has waged. A NATO member state – and indeed the 2nd most powerful in the army – Turkey publicly admits that it wants to revise its borders with Greece, as shaped by the Treaty of Lausanne. This treaty has also been unilaterally "revised" by Turkey on its eastern border, with its invasion of Syria in 2019. In fact, for the invasion he had secured the strong backs of all, both the Euro-Atlantic factor and Russia!

In one of the most brilliant moments of "revision" of the last 50 years in Europe, the invasion of NATO-led Turkey in Cyprus in 1974, NATO had a decisive influence together with the junta of the colonels, so that not only not to prevent, but to prepare the Turkish invasion!

After the dissolution of a country in the Balkans, Yugoslavia, and the successive wars of NATO and the EU, 6 states emerged in the long term (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Croatia)! Everyone can understand how the borders were "revised", as well as the fact that we are talking about some us and NATO protectorate states!

Lie 6: "The NATO territories"

There are no NATO territories. Let's look again at the example of Greece and Turkey, two NATO member states. What does it mean to accept this term if Turkey attempts to change the borders? For example, Eastern Thrace and Western Thrace are NATO-like territories, but among them there are the borders between Greece and Turkey, with Turkey insisting on its unacceptable claims, openly saying that the Greek-Turkish border (from Evros to Strongyli-Round) is "debatable". The mere acceptance of the term "NATO territories" opens up dangerous avenues for the creation of faits accomplis at the expense of our country's sovereign rights.

Lie 7: "NATO is a protection especially when Russia has activated the nukes"

The balance of terror is pure terror. On the one hand, NATO has adopted in its doctrine, since 2016, the "first nuclear strike"! In fact, during the days of the SYRIZA government, rumors had raged that were never disproved by the government, that the Araxos base was preparing for the reception and storage of nuclear weapons (yes, since then and in the past NATO has been preparing in our region for a generalized conflict with Russia)! On the other hand, Russia's assertion that only if Russia's existence is threatened will nuclear weapons be used is no guarantee.
