REAL TALK: Coalition "Allows" Jacobi to Win

Day 1,719, 21:11 Published in Canada USA by Derphoof

Wow. That article had so much spin, I had to check to make sure that article wasn't written by Evry. "We're going to let Jacobi win to show him a lesson." I laughed. Hysterically. It still makes me chuckle. Please tell me you're kidding. This is a joke right? Is this seriously the best they've got? This spin article was the best their arrogance and naivety could put up? "Hey! I've got a great idea! We'll not run anyone! Instead we'll show Canada a lesson. We'll claim that Jacobi is so out of touch that he'll give up on Canada, and his efforts will be trash. To make it more ludicrous, We'll take in massive bets on when he decides Canada is a god forsaken wasteland of a place and heads for the hills. After that we'll swoop in and clean up the mess! We'll show how desperately Canada needs us!"

Its Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. I know fortune is supposed to favor the bold but this isn't even bold. Its downright foolish. How long can this farce go on? People talk about how Canada is a terrible place, but they don’t propose anything to improve it. In fact, with acts like this, they gladly contribute nicely to that state of mind. They are basically going to sit idly by as they wait for the day that when, according to them, Jacobi decides Canada is such a lost cause that he leaves.

Here are the things that irk me the most:

1) The Coalition will "allow" Jacobi to win.

Really now? They're just going to allow him to win? How kind of them! I mean there's not much they could do about it anyways but its nice to see them exaggerating their party's power. I always get a kick out of it!

2) "So Jacobi can get a much needed wake up call to the way things are"

Fantastic! I'm sure he really needs that. After all, you can't tell how things are with a quick look around can you? Well one look at our citizen count can tell you that we aren't doing quite well at the moment.

3) They claim he will pull a Sperry, coming back with grandiose plans and then hitting the road

Well all indications certainly indicate he wouldn't. He is quite committed to the eCanadian team. Also, what grandiose plans do they speak of? All he wants to do is restore faith in the Canadian government which most people have lost faith in. It could become a respectable and efficient institution for once. He wants to supply solid, stable, and moral leadership willing to tackle the problems of eCanada. He wants to make Canada a more attractive place to live. He wants to make Canada act like a team. What do they propose? Use the situation to discredit him and keep tearing Canada apart for their own benefit. The best part about Jacobi's plan? He realizes he can't offer some glorious saving grace that fixes the problem in one month. Jacobi is realistic. He wants to set us on the right path, a path that could very well be many months long. After all, Rome wasn't built in a day.

4) The Coalition will be betting on when Jacobi pulls a Sperry

Wow, has their arrogance hit an all-time high? They must be incredibly confident in your speculation. It's absolutely ludicrous. Party politics at its best. Instead of supporting the new administration and hoping Canada does well, they'll hope and pray that it crumbles to the ground.

What if it doesn't? What if Jacobi stays in office for the whole month? What if the administration is a success? What happens to the money then? Here's a new challenge. If Jacobi lasts the whole month, how about they donate all of the money to the Canadian government, or even to Tyreal's Night's Watch MU. That would really show how confident the Coalition is.

To anyone thinking about betting, buying 10 health for .5 gold is a better deal than betting on this farce.

5) "The Coalition intentionally chooses no Candidate for CP for the month of August because for varying reasons, they both kinda suck"

Sooooo, they're not going to run anyone because the candidates suck? Is that why they won't put forth a candidate from the Coalition? That the biggest load of blarney I've ever heard. If the candidates are awful, then shouldn't it be easy to pick a person who can beat them? Or are there other underlying problems? MDP/Norsefire can't put forward any candidates because they have no ideas. They don't do anything. Why? Well here's a shocker. Too many drones, not enough leadership. They don't have any ideas on how to fix our problems. Thats the problem when you're a party made up of people who just take orders.

So thanks for exposing the Coalition's flaws and arrogance. We are eternally grateful. People complain about how Canada is getting worse, yet it's decisions like this that tear us apart and sink us even further in the perpetual cycle of party politics and infighting that prevents us from acting like a team. This decision by the MDP/Norsefire Coalition is one of the worst things I've seen in this game. Fortune may favor the bold but there is nothing bold to be found in this announcement. It is simply a foolish choice to make and if I know one thing, it's that fortune does not favor the foolish.
