Elections, Alliances and Drama! Oh My!

Well, after a succesful PTO, bickering among candidates and parties, and an exposed super alliance treaty, another CP election has passed. For the next month, Rylde will be leading eCanada. Congrats to Rylde! So like him or hate him, you're stuck with him.
After everyone has lambasted EPIC for being inactive and being the opposite of "Independent", it will be interesting to see how they bounce back from this PTO. I don't know if anything will change, or if things stay the same as they have been in EPIC. Only time will tell!
After exposing the alliance treaty that was in the works, and having the president of the USA beg Canada not to re-elect Rylde, it will be interesting to see how this drama will play out and how the Brolliance will fair through it all. Will the USA go through with their President's threat to respond "in force"? Will the Brolliance be torn apart? How will Canada respond to this new alliance in the works? These are the kinds of questions that Rylde will have to face in this new term in office. We can only hope that Rylde has the experience and negotiating skills to make this turn out for the better. Rylde says he won't "negotiate from a point of weakness." However, I struggle to see how this has put us into a position of strength. Plus, there is talk of how we need to stick with our allies and not dump them for a powerful new alliance. Well Rylde didn't even condone joining the alliance. He just said "I would only join as a full member." So if he was ever looking to negotiate himself into having Canada as a full member, I don't see how his actions have helped. I don't know how exactly he'll do it, but I hope he can turn this into a positive thing for Canada's sake.
If this doesn't work out for us, I don't like the idea of Spain, USA, Poland, and Brazil all working together and possibly looking to hit Canada as payback for exposing the treaty.
Rylde has been very bold in taking the actions that he has cohsen to take. Lets hope that Fortune really does favor the Bold in the coming month.

...so what improvements do we get now that the PTO "fixed" EPIC. I always laugh how the same line is used to excuse the PTO of CPP, EPIC, and MOO yet what remains afterwards is an even greater inactive shell of a party than what was there before.
Yeah, they prove a point about what ails each PTOed party yet forget to back up their actions with any purpose except for their own amusement and benefit.
I have no earthly idea what we'll get. I was pretty outraged at the PTO. It depends on the members and the leadership I guess. EPIC may eventually go the way of prior parties and become a shell of its former self. I mean the forums are pretty bleak and inactive most, if not, all of the time. There is practically no communication in my experience. Most anything would be an improvement over the current state of affairs. However, I'd hate to see EPIC just fade away.
When is Norsefire going to start acting like a regular party? I don't mind too much that they've wiped out the competition before the CPF's wake, but eventually they'll need natural goals and ideology before so they can grow naturally. That way they won't have to invent reasons to PTO a party to sustain their numbers every two months.
They have done a great job at showing how bad a party they really are (norsefire) whenever they take over a big party it suffers a massive loss in numbers and then doesn't go anywhere save a slow dwindling decline. Shows just how popular Rolo et all really are to the majority of this country.
I wouldn't even say they prove a point of what ails a party Plugson, it's not that hard to PTO a party if you are willing to plant a mole in that party that will then drop out. Just hard on the morals.

Well I don't think the goal is to get all of the PTO'd party members to your party. Its just to get rid of or silence that party. I dunno how many PTO'd party members switch to specific parties. However, Norsefire is still in the top 5. They represent a formidable and powerful voting bloc. So obviously they've had success. I would not say that Norsefire is some terrible party by any means.

So getting rid of and silencing a party is ok? No wonder we have so few real parties, such a lack of representation is really a waste. You can't really do much without people to back you and playing political games like this you slowly but surely erode your (and everyone else's) popularity... which means if it ever comes time for Canada to really throw down, we may have some nasty surprises
Well its definitely not okay, as seen by the reactions to the PTO. PTO's have basically eliminated different parties in the past and have made our options fewer and fewer. However, these things happen. Its just part of the mechanics of the game.
Scamming other players is also game mechanics, and stalking people is considered perfectly okay by the admins.
Does that mean you should do it?
Well no you shouldn't. The fact that it is part of the game mechanics doesn't mean that it is something you should try to do. However people will continue to do it whether it is right or wrong. If it works to a person's advantage to do so, it will probably be attempted.
