506 goes to Congress!

Greeting all 506ers and friends! And, uh, enemies too, if that is what floats your boat. So yeah. Just a short message to you sexy fiends out there.


(Now that I have managed to sound completely competent and calm)

OMG! OMG! OMG! Guys? Guys! GUYS!!!

We did it! We did! Like, seriously, we did it! The 506 made it into the T5 for the first time ever! Just in time for congressional voting! SQUEEEEEEEEEE! Thank you to all your beautiful people and germs. To everyone that was willing to listen to our message, to everyone that was willing to give us a chance, hell, to everyone that wasn’t easily swayed away by promises of prestige and honors, to everyone that has stood by us thus far.









Obviously we couldn’t have done it without you, but it is the social norm to tell you so anyway. So a sincere “Thank You” from all of the 506 leadership!



Your loyalty is what we want to earn. We want to be the party that is special enough to you that you turn down those offers to go elsewhere. That is the party we strive to be! With your help, we will be!



Since this is our first time going to congress, this is both a celebratory article and a reminder to vote 506 today!

You are probably wondering about our congressional line up this month. It is an all star collection of the best that The 506 has to offer. I have included a picture of the set roster below. It warms the cold cockles of my heart to be among the badasses.

Okay, so now that the celebration part is over, time for the real business. As young party, we are still trying to find ourself. That is only natural. This is our first showing in congress. We need to make sure that we perform well, so get out and vote 506!

And on a second note, though our membership numbers have gotten us into the Top 5 this month, we cannot ease up. Our attendance of congress next month is not assured. Technically no party’s spot in the T5 is assured. I remember watching the party dynamics change years ago when I played previously (2012-2015). The changing of a party from 5th ranked to 6th is never an easy thing. The outgoing party often (but not always) loses hope, their members feel down-trodden. And the good parties fight it, sometimes rising back up to take back a T5 slot the following month. That’s admirable. Let me be clear, the 506 bears no direct ill towards the party that we replace this month. As the replacing party, we will face different challenges. All new parties to rise into the T5 disturb the previous balance set. I would argue that these disturbances keep things interesting, help prevent complacency.

Regardless of how it is looked at, it makes the new kids on the block unknowns. This is often (from historical context in eRep) means that the newbies viewed as renegades, loose cannons, insert other applicable analogy here, and the other parties are tense until the dust settles.

That is why inter-party communication is so key, especially for the 506. We want to dispel the myths. Furtherment of the eUnited States and its community are our primary goals. But don’t just take me word on it. Come talk with us, work with us, make your own decisions.
