Ministry of Home Affairs

Last month the Ministry of Home affairs was a bit of a mess with me (Fhaemita Malodorous) becoming minister of Home affairs when the term was already halfway done. This month we’re going to work hard on making this term a better term then the previous one. We have a motivated team so I am sure that we will be able to get a lot done. Plans for this month include restarting the Helping Hands program, restarting the mentor program and some other stuff is planned but I will going into details on all the things we’re planning in this article.

Helping Hands

The Ministry of Home Affairs is planning to restart the Helping Hands program to help newer users to get their health up. Helping Hands is a program where the government will give food to newer citizens. There are a lot of new players who have low health due to too much fighting, not eating daily or what ever reason they have for having a low health. Having high health is important when you are working because high health means more production and if you have low health your employee might fire you. New users who are low health below 90 health will be able to request food to get their health. You must meet the following requirements they must have low health, have eBelgium citizenship and be below level 20.

Mentorship

Mentoring new users is very important to stop new players from quitting the game. Some of you might remember how it was when you started the game. A new game, and you have no clue what to do and how everything works. The ministry of Home Affairs will be activly seeking new users and contacting them and assisting them in their first steps in the new world. We’ll be recruiting experienced users who have been playing this game for a while now to sign up as mentor so we can give them a mentoree. The mentor will help the mentoree as long as the mentoree requires the help and feels

Education

Educating new players is very important. There have been some articles in the Belgian Library but most of them are awfully out of date. That is why I’m hoping that we can write some new guides for new users about the first days of their e-life, how fighting works and some other useful guides that will help replace the old guides that are currently in the Belgian Library. Also the Tutorials and Useful Links on the forum will be looked over and will be updated where needed. The updated tutorials and articles can be used my the mentors to mentor their mentoree to help them learn how erepublik works.

New Media

Belgium has a facebook page that was made by Mike Wooldridge but has not been used for a very long time. Also made a twitter account @erepbelgium was made today and tweeted the first tweet. I’ve send Mike Wooldridge a message to get admin rights or something on the eBelgium facebook. Facebook and twitter are much used media and could possibly attract people to come play erepublik. Facebook and Twitter are something that we should use.
