[CP] Thank You and a New Era

Greetings and good afternoon my fellow citizens.

Firstly, a huge thank you to all of my supporters, voters and colleagues who are now in government!

Secondly, to those who supported an opponent, let it be known I have the interest of the whole eUnited Kingdom at heart. Your views will be taken into account and I will act in the best interest of the majority.

Sorry for the delay in getting this out to you, I have been working pretty solidly both in game and IRL the last two days. This is the first of at least weekly round ups of government activities from myself with more to come from other ministries and our press Secretary Gavin once the orgs have been properly dished out.



Foreign Affairs

Your government has been hard at work the past two days. We have had an extremely comprehensive handover from Huey George and have been in the progress of the usual business, sorting out orgs, contacting allies and TW partners and informing them of the change in cabinet etc.

On this front we have already been busy. Yesterday we negotiated a region swap with Bulgaria to in order to reset their determination, we have also invited Croatia back to our nation to resume the previous TW that we had, continuing our ongoing good relationship with them.

We are in the process of negotiating a further TW on our shores in West Midlands also with Lithuania and other nations who have contacted us, which I have brought up with Congress.

Hopefully this shows you that on this front it is indeed, business as usual. All TWs will be negotiated and maintained with our overall neutrality in mind!

Beta and MooMoo have been hard at work in separate capacities. MooMoo is composing a plan of action for our discourse with Ireland and how we go forwards. Beta has been messaging potential allies about a potential defensive alliance comprised of neutral nations who would seek to defend each other in the event of a rogue war, as per our manifesto pledge. We will have more information on these as and when they’re available.




Defence

As many of you will have noticed, Rory has been experimenting with a new orders shout. Our commitment to shouting orders on the feed will be upheld, we will also be publishing a weekly article outlining the information available. This contains daily updated orders with any changes (like todays Wales RW for example) and information about all of the schemes available and were to claim bounties and subsidies.

Home Affairs and Finance

I’ve grouped these two together as they are relatively shorter updates.

Woldy has already been compiling the facts and figures in the orgs with help from Hueys fantastic handover work. Huey is continuing work in the Monetary Market. Payments made so far include repaying Italy’s income taxes and a purchase of weapons for the NHS from their legacy fund. More information from this will be coming out shortly including the budget just passed by Congress, which we will aim our donations on with congress able to decide how it acts on this. My recommendation is to adopt the Budget proposed by Mr Woldy, as this is the basis this government will be working off of.

Darkmantle, MIK and Sambo are hard at work working on competitions and fun giveaways we can take place in. More fun information coming soon. Be sure to take part in Sambo’s poetry completion on the national feed!

Gavin will be updating us on his work very shortly once I hand the keys to his org over today!
