Another Presidential Election

Another thing that's way different nowadays...

Was just swapping Comments with Mister Y over at his monthly Population Stats article, eUSA Population - January 2023. Mister Y is damn handy with data and graphs, and his detailed reports are always worth the read.
Anyways, he's got one graph there about numbers of voters within the active population, and text with numbers and comparisons. Bottom line for me is that only 25% or so of our active player community bothers to do that one click a month for Country President.

Today's "active player community" is one-tenth of.. another time, in days gone by.. but the percentage remains the same. Whether we have under 1000 eUS Citizens or over 10,000, three out of four of us have no fucks to give on the 5th of every month.

Last month that Patanok guy won with 57% of the votes cast.. isn't that what they call a mandate? January went by with no major disasters and probably a couple military and diplomatic victories..

I think I work for him.. Like, I see him tottering around the office hallways late at night.. keeps late hours, like an owl.. or a janitor.

Yeah, I think I'll vote for the office janitor.
