An Introduction

Day 5,384, 09:08 Published in Japan Japan by Ogawa Yuto

Greetings!

I am Ogawa Yuto; I am both new here and yet looking to find ways to be of service to this community. To that end, I'm filling the role of tutor. I'm sure that to some this may seem like a case of the blind leading the blind, but my issue has never been lack of vision. On the contrary, I see a future of community rejuvenation, of creativity, society, and fun. My desire is to share this vision in the only way I currently know how.

Education is not just about information. A person could easily get that by reading the wiki. Rather, as tutor, my focus will be on experiencing gameplay first-hand in its early stages and sharing that with other new people like myself. The mark of successful learning is not how much knowledge is out in the aether, but how much is shared directly through context and connection. I will take the time to work with people in hopes that it edifies everyone involved.

I know I have a lot to learn, but I think that also gives me a unique perspective.

A bit about myself. I am a community oriented person, and that means finding areas of common ground with people I may not know well. To that end, I'm very interested in a wide variety of media and topics. I'm pretty much your average nerd in a lot of ways, and find absolutely no shame in that. I have a love for basically all forms of horror, be it in the form of movie, television, book, or graphic novel. In fact, I recently purchased the classics Gyo and Uzumaki from Junji Ito, but I have a growing collection of dark fantasy, sci-fi, and horror related comics.

Rather than list my fandoms, I think you can probably get a pretty good idea of what I'm into based on the above. I also adore some anime - my favorite of all time probably being Mononoke because of its artistic style and the themes. Really anything with a solid story is going to get and hold my attention though.

I'm a huge fan of music, and my tastes there tend to be eclectic, assorted by love for individual songs and artists rather than based on genre. The only thing (other than comics) I collect with any regularity are vinyl albums, and my hobbies generally include writing and occasional gaming. Though the only active gaming I've done in recent history (or the foreseeable future) is Pokémon.

That said, I'm terrible at talking about myself and generally find more interest in learning about other people.

To that end, please comment with some of your favorite fandoms. Or similar!

Looking forward to getting to know folks, and hoping to contribute to our little community here.

Good day everyone.
