As usual the mechanics of production companies was extremely predictable in this last update, a q1 aircraft weapons company costs the usual 10 gold, allows a single employee and no manager working.
Production in a q1 factory would bring in the USA 5 q1 weapons, the cost to produce 5 q1 weapons would break even at 500/unit. you would use 1 unit of raw calculated for ease of calculation at 400/unit raw. 2100 for salary as a buffer since currently series range from 1900-2100 wish....so 2500 cost would mean 500/unit would break even although taxes would make you actually loose money, however, q1 aircraft weapons are in abundance at around 188/unit. This would bring a loss of over 312/unit.
As expected the only way to make money in this industry is a q5 level company however wait first let's explore a q4 company of this caliber....
5 Employees produce approximately 28 units, I estimated 14,000 in raws cost est. salary 10,500 for a total of 24,500 in costs, approximately 875/unit cost. now currently there are multiple listings of q5 weapons for less than 700, doesn't make any sense at all, of course we all know that the only way to win in erepublik is yep you guessed it, by paying to win....
with the tycoon pack and the free labor apparently the fact that you can make money faster selling weapons under the true cost to manufacture means only the players who buy tycoon packs actually make any real in game money......

Does it make sense now? Emphasis on Aircraft bonus, of course. Do you still produce houses, as well? With the (new) 5% country bonus?
But back to Air and its 12.5% country bonus (which can go to 0, if some foreign regions are lost). I see you have for sale Q2, Q3, Q4 and Q5 (I presume you produce them here, in the eUSA). Do you think somebody will buy Q2-Q4? And Q5s, right now there are 7 offers (all imports), ranging from 740 to 800, better than yours (1000+). Isn't that, coupled with the fact that they're imports, clear indication that you're doing something wrong?
I have my houses factories in Venezuela, perhaps it's profitable from there.

That's a different story.
So really, the only way to win is to not even bother with them, at least in my mind. If you're essentially spending IRL money and not really earning any benefit in-game, I don't see the point to it.
