[Yui] Resource Wars - Here It Goes Again

Not even a month since my last article celebrating the fact that Canada graciously lent the USA Neodymium, the admins have introduced Resource Wars III.

Now, thanks in part to DMJ, I'm being called to run for CP to repeat the miracle run of 2016.

When we first learned about Resource Wars 2016, Melissa Rose's CP term was coming to an end. Her and her administration got the unfortunate happenstance of organizing what we would be doing for Resource Wars. They managed to secure a plethora of Training Wars, before even knowing how the event would be played. They also collaborated as to where to put our resources. Everything was set up for success from the very beginning.

Then came who was going to be CP for the actual month of Resource Wars, since Melissa wasn't going to run again. Tyler Bubblar decided to step up to the plate, despite RL issues getting in his way. As an act of foresight, he put together a 4 man NSC team: Resoula, Kalos, Garmr, and myself. We were tasked to bring home the resources, and we all came out with different tasks. I took up real time damage coordination on IRC, Resoula took on coordinating with our Training War partners, and Kalos relayed information to people who couldn't make it to IRC. Garmr was...well, he just disappeared.

We weren't alone in our endeavors though. Gnilraps was a huge help. He created a spreadsheet that made my job easier, since before I was calculating with the ol' pen and paper. That spreadsheet later enabled more people to participate in chasing for resources, such as MelissaRose and Ubuntu. There was also the State Department, ensuring smooth sailing on all of our Training Wars.

The point is, as much as I like to say it was all me, our success was not centered all on me. While I may have put the most hours in, it would not have been possible without everyone involved (including those not explicitly mentioned), and frankly I didn't and don't give them enough credit for all the credit they gave me.

With that said, I am ready and willing to head up the Resources Wars team yet again, and maximize the USA's rewards from the event.

I can do this with or without the CP position. I've informed Krapis that I will not run for CP if he decides to run again. If this happens, I hope he will entrust me with leading the Resource Wars III initiative.

If he decides not to run, I will immediately announce my candidacy, and hope that the American people can bestow upon me the great honor.
