"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."~John F. Kennedy~
There is much posturing that goes on in this silly little game many of us hold dear. There are many that seek to try and utilize the game mechanics to mirror real life. Some raise their hands in martyrdom to be remembered as they leave the game they so adamantly try to lay claim to. Why is much of the effort to put in this game to impersonate the messy realities we already face everyday. Why with the chance would we not seek to for something different, for something we can make our own.
Plato will always try to make his money at any cost. Then placate the masses with new modules to help do what businesses do. The unique ability we have is to write our own future just as I write these words. We are not bound by game mechanics, but we choose to bind ourselves. We do have the freedom to choose a path for ourselves. You have the ability to make a difference here that most cannot dream of in real life.
The ability to have some control and to stand for something in a way not often afforded to those in real life. We have the ability to quell corruption and not just be the voice of reason and change, but to be the vehicle of it. Many start this game to see what this two clicking is about, but those that have stayed and become more involved do so for reason. They stay for each other for friendship, to have a voice and yes even some to be the villain.
The revolutionary paves a road hard work and dedication to perseverance. His work is not only for himself, but for those around him. He has the fortitude to walk that road alone if that's what needs to be done. His heart and his mind function in unison for what is right even if it may not be what's popular. He has the strength of character to be transparent and weather the naysayers.
Quite often the ones who claim to be the most patriotic often seem to shout the loudest without fully knowing what they are shouting about. What I have seen is that those that threaten loudest are often weakest in their actions. This game this e-life is an opportunity to stand; to stand for what is right and for one another. We do not need to be afraid or beholden to the path laid out for us by Plato. We can dare to be different and although perfection may never be attainable just maybe chasing it we can achieve excellence. So Stand Firm People. Stand with SFP and Bear Cavalry so you can stand for yourself.

"Here in America we are descended in blood and in spirit from revolutionists and rebels - men and women who dare to dissent from accepted doctrine. As their heirs, may we never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion." - Dwight D. Eisenhower
"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away." - Henry David Thoreau
great set of quotes you go there
Nicely said.
Thank you
maybe it is a question of what our mutual players consider fun...
True, but I myself have never found monotony fun, but to each his own
This sounds to me like a misrepresentation of what others find fun, as a means of self-justification? If you ask anyone what is fun, I think very few will ever say 'monotony', even if what they respond with is something you find monotonous.
As always well done nick!
