[Flash4SFP] Let's Talk About Goals

Day 4,711, 13:33 Published in USA Spain by Flashback1

A few days ago I announced my candidacy for chairperson (PP) of the Socialist Freedom Party. Since then, I've been thrilled to see so much positivity and support from my fellow party members.

In this article, I'm going to break down the four parts of my platform that I mentioned in my announcement article.

Below is a graphic showing these four main goals: Engagement, New Programs, Party Growth, and Having Fun.

Engagement: We're already on our way to meeting this goal. Due to inactivity and being unable to moderate the SFP Discord, we have largely decided to migrate to a new Discord server that contains an open General chat, as well as private chats for users that we ensure are members of the SFP and a chat for the RC to facilitate quicker communication on important issues.

I am also vowing to constantly use the forums this month (sorry ahead of time if you get notifications) because I think they're a very important aspect of party engagement that have been faltering a bit recently.

New Programs: This can take many forms. For example, SFP is in the process of starting a new mentorship program for new party members, which I will describe more in the next point.

This leads me to something I would like to bring back/implement widely: party media. We've been doing a decent job of trending high on the media boards as of late (big shoutout to DSS and shiloh for putting out great content recently). But I would like to see this become an actual program for party members to participate in. While this is still a working idea that is open to change, my plan is to cultivate a group (probably using the new Discord!!) to generate ideas for articles across all genres of media. I would also like to make this into a contest eventually, with a group deciding to award the best article of the week or month with a currency prize.

Party Growth: Despite the summer resurgence of eRepublik dying down, SFP has gotten several new members over the last week. The RC is working to bring those new players into our mentorship program (shoutout to Leon for stepping up in this regard). This program will provide players with a place to ask questions, get their foot in the door, and receive food and tanks whenever they need. We want SFP to be welcoming to players of all levels, so it's important to be active about supporting them on their journey.

Also, we've got some amazing players in the SFP with very big and rapidly growing influence. I think it's time we put that to use to help bring our party up in the rankings once more!

Having Fun: eRepublik is a game. We've had several discussions amongst the RC lately about how much we engage with the RPG elements of the game. Personally, I feel as though most players choose to avoid these elements. Which makes this point very difficult to write. I hope that with increasing our use of the media module, organizing contests and events, and potentially going back to our party roots for a bit of inspiration ( 😉 ), we'll be able to keep the party engaged and excited about the future!

Once again, my inbox is open and I want nothing more than to hear from you about getting involved. To any other party heads that want to chat about the future (or even working together on events/contests/things) slide into my dms as well! Would love to chat!

Many thanks,
