When the Beacons Burned Bright!

Day 5,242, 04:08 Published in USA USA by Kody5

Hello there, everyone. I figured it was time to give you all an update on what's been going on. Another one for those of you who like to read long articles about the video game world still.

eRepublik is still entertaining! Or at least it's been fun for me. In my two terms of office, I was stuck with 3 weeks of only TW battles. For a good reason, but three weeks of meaningless training battles can drag on you when you're running a country and playing.

Last Tuesday, that changed. We put together the 2nd major Asterian operation that we managed to succeed with. We managed to free a fellow Asterian alliance member from the occupation of CODE. The operation in Sweden was a major success. A success that we had never had against Croatia before, as I'm told it was the first airstrike that we won against Croatia in a long time. Working together with members such as Serbia, Romania, Colombia, Spain, and Iran, we landed in Sweden and our operation was successful.  Freeing Sweden was, for me, the highlight of my two terms as President.

However, I will be honest. Croatia and code in Sweden did not put up much of a fight. We landed without much resistance, but even so, the victory was a good symbol of being able to work together and free a member stuck under occupation.

While this was going on, the hard-fought victories against the code were against Turkey and in the Balkans region. Bulgaria went on a fantastic rampage against Turkey and scored multiple victories. These battles were not easily won and they were hard fought against CODE. The real victories were here and with Bulgaria.

We currently have the advantage over code, and the upcoming battles may shape the power balance of the two major alliances for some time to come.

Outside of the war module, there is not a whole lot to report. Those who applied to the ambassador programs have been given roles on telegram to talk with foreign dignitaries. While these jobs are important, there really isn't a whole lot to say between us. Outside of the alliance channels, at least, the conversations are light.

Foreign affairs nowadays are fairly simple.  You just find someone on telegram and demand more tws from them, or you invade them and then demand more tws. Things have gotten much simpler than they used to be.

Finally, my term is coming close to an end. I will continue working for the country the same way that I have been for these final days. Hopefully with the same amount of fun and interesting ops that have come before.

At the end of my term, I will not be running for CP again. I'll take a step back to support Patanok's bid for CP.

I met Pat before I became CP for the first time. From what I understand, he is not much of an article writer. He isn't as lame as I am to enjoy writing paragraphs for you all in his free time. However, Pat was critical to my terms as CP and continues to be. He understands the game mechanics incredibly well, and I leaned on him and his advice heavily. Pat is a big reason why this country runs so smoothly, and he was crucial in managing the massive amount of TWs we have in our cores.
I do not plan on quitting erep or disappearing from the national office. If Pat wants me to help him should he be elected president I will do my best to assist. I will be happy to write nonsense for you all for as long as I'm around!

I support Pat fully in his bid to become president, and I hope you all consider voting for him on election day!
