What is the breaking point for eRepublik

As most have noticed, this game is in decline. However, it seems a lot of people are leaving for a lot of different reasons.
Some common reasons:
1. Game is too gold focused to make people spend RL money vs just having fun
2. All modules within the game are broken but specifically the economy module
3. The communities are gone – very few nations really have that wealth of active writing and participation
4. Been here too long – seems like after a few years, even if people enjoyed the game, they just realize it is time to walk away
5. 2 clicking to wait it out but then realizing there is nothing coming
These come from reading the friend feeds, newspapers, etc but generally when I see someone quit, they fall into one of these categories. Not sure what the fix is.
One thing that is disappointing is that while this game is in decline, the game creators have gone off and created a new game in BETA. Just seems like they wrote this off for the last 6 months to 1 year to get this other thing off the ground but left this to crumble.
Thoughts? Any bets on what your reason to leave will be?

The main problem for me continues to be the completely broken economy module. I have a Q7 weapons factory and I still can't make a decent profit.
thats the point, why would they want you to be able to make a profit when making a profit would decrease their RL profits
Well, getting a Q7 factory is a huge investment of time/money. Surely you should actually get something for the money you give them? I don't think they maximise their profits in the long term by having a completely broken system.
thats a perfectly legitimate argument, one i would agree with, its not really in their best interests to do what they are doing, but ultimately they will keep doing it because they are too stubborn to see how wrong they are
sorta... id buy gold if the game was good and i could make a profit from my companies, therefore encouraging me to invest more gold into more companies, but as it is a worthless venture, i refuse to buy gold
I think you've summed it all up. It was a crappy game in V1 and every fix they make doesn't help but breaks it more. I think some of us continue to play out of sheer stubbornness.
