What's all the fuss about?

Day 1,383, 14:45 Published in Canada Canada by Ralph Kline

Last few days in erep have been typical insanity as the election for country president approaches. What is coming in the next few is sure to top it.

We have 3 front-runners, and due to some difficulties over at EPIC HQ in retrieving the preference of the membership, it is not quite at planned.
They are:
Aeriala
Addy Lawerence
Rolo Tahamasee

Now, I would like to give you some plain talk. Any one of these players can do a fine job of running the country. There are all perfectly capable in skill as well as character. They all all good people, really!!

We are in the midst of some serious mud slinging and finger pointing and name calling and whatever else is going down. Who knows what to believe anymore? So many have gone numb to it.

I won't tell you I think you should vote for, but I will tell you who I am going to vote for. Aeriala is my choice and why?

Because voting for Rolo will cause instability, not because I think he will do something bad, but because of his history. There will be impeachment votes spurred on by those who won't or can't forgive. Then more fights and I-told-you-so's. Treian's presence won't fix this, but rather, if it backfires it will harm his political future. I would much rather see Rolo make some sort of peace with the Canadian electorate and then run a campaign.

Addy Lawrence is, I'm told, away camping and not really interested in being CP. I can't say this is fact, only what I have heard. I do know past attempts at CP by this fine fellow have ended with poor showing at the polls and if he were interested in being CP, there would be some indication of that by him. He would have written some articles before he left at least, his last was to ask members for a CP candidate, I guess they didn't suggest anybody so he put himself in.

Areiala is now facing some difficult opposition from some who seem to consider him a poor candidate, although the reasoning doesn't add up. I thought he a good job last time in a difficult situation. There is no part of him being CP that requires that I consider either of the other candidates. MU funding, after all is in Congress hands at the end of the day.
Aeriala has asked me to serve as his VP and I have accepted. This I do to support who I see as the best choice this month and I would not turn down a chance to serve my country in this manner. I hope he wins. I hope you make your decision based of what is best for you and your country.
