Day 1,693 of the New World
7 July 2012

As it was just reported in Dutch Marley's Huey Lewis and the News, I will be leaving the Federalist Party, the only Political affiliation I have ever had in this game, and embarking on an entirely new journey.

I will surely have plenty of opportunity to delve into the reasons for all of this, but now is not the time to talk about me and my story.

Now is the time to begin a new story.
Now is the time to begin - one last time - a Party that has had too many beginnings lately.
Now is the time for...

As Dutch, Joe and I talked through the recent history of this party, its Libertarian roots, it's subsequent Ganjafication, its past two controversial months... as we looked at what RLC already is, we realized that one common theme coursed through the veins of this party at every twist and turn.

This is a party of individuals who want representation.

This is a "People's Party".

It is decidedly pro-American.
It is decidedly activist.
It is decidedly individualistic.

"We The People" will be a Political Party for everyman.
It will be a Party dedicated to electing eager, loyal American Citizens into Congress.
It will be a Party where members will have a say in whom to endorse for Country President.
It will be a Party which will one day place its own members into the White House.

Aside from my long-time friendship with Dutch, the reason it was decided that I should seek election to this party at this time has to do with the one thing this party has been lacking:

Stability.

I have been a member of the same party for two and a half years.
I have been a Congressman a half-dozen times without ever screwing that up.
I have lead the Federalist Party to great success three different times (once in subsequent terms).
I have lead Easy Company Militia from near obscurity to international prominence over 10 months.
What I have done, I have done generally well.

I pledge to bring stability to this party.

In the coming days, Joe and I will publish much about our intentions and where you all will fit in this renovation.
