V for Victory

America, I come before you to ask for your support for my candidature for President of the eUnited States.

I’ve been a long time military leader in America, but I’ve resisted prior calls to run for Country President many months before. To be frank, its a nasty job that leaves one drained for months to come, a sentiment that many former Country Presidents can attest to. Only once before have I run, last February when I attempted to challenge Oblige. Why did I run then, and why am I running now? I believe that the country was moving down a bad path at that time, and that Oblige was not that man for the job any longer. I was soundly defeated, but many of my fears came true as Chile was booted from Terra and the end of the TEDEN world order began.

Today our nation is once again at a crossroads. It is my belief that America has suffered under lackluster leadership and has allowed others to pilot our vessel to shores we are not fully aware of or sure that we want as a destination. My opponent in this upcoming election, Jefferson Locke, the current Vice President, is a good man, young, and energetic. I don’t want any doubts that I think this, and that at some point in the future that he would make a good country President. However, I do believe that one needs to work at it in order to become the President. Throughout history our strongest Presidents are ones that lost elections, struggled though hotly contested contests to finally achieve success. Emerick lost his first campaign against Harrison Richardson in July 2009, but came back and won the next month and had what many consider one of the most successful terms in our history, working with the help of leaders like Publius, Lucky, and Eugene Harlot to turn World War III around to an American victory. I rambled a little, but the point I’m trying to make is that the Country President seat should be an exciting, close contest. It should be passionate, and inspire activity for both sides. And most of all, the winner should be the best man for the job at that time.

I believe that this man at this time is myself, and I humbly submit my candidacy for President of the eUnited States.

I wish Jefferson Locke, and any other contenders that step forward, good luck and a good clean campaign. I will of course, respect the outcomes of the various primaries that have been set forth to deal with the PTO threat, and will be releasing more articles over the next week detailing platform and my cabinet.
