Unto the Breach Once More

Day 1,327, 21:06 Published in USA Poland by Soren Nelson

For for you consideration, I present my candidacy for Party President of the Federalists.

Ok, this isn't big news. I've been running for several days now. This has already been one of the most interesting elections I've seen, and the voting hasn't even begun yet.

Kara Beth, our esteemed Political Director, and one of my favorite sparring partners, withdrew her candidacy yesterday - much to my dismay. Former Vice Party President, Heero Blaze, has taken her place. I can't think of someone I'd rather run against. I am confident he'll do great things for our party should I lose to him. This is how it should be.

Now to my candidacy.

I've been a Federalist for a year now. In the last 12 months, I've served as EZC XO, CO, assistant Political Director, and as Party President (February - March). At the national level, I've been honored with the responsibilities of a Congressman, Deputy Speak of the House, and both Deputy Secretary of the Interior and Deputy Secretary of State (current).

I've learned a great deal in the last year, especially since my first term as PP. I've made connections, gained in-depth knowledge of game mechanics, and participated in the inner workings of our party and national government.

Federalists, I'm ready to serve you once more. This party is my passion - my reason for being a citizen of eRepublik. The camaraderie of Easy Company, and the family bond of the party is unlike any other in the eWorld. While at work, while driving, or while eating dinner with my folks, my mind inevitably wanders back to you - my friends. I swell with pride at the very mention of you. The Federalists. My friends, my family, my reason for it all.

We have an incredible opportunity. For the first time in many months, the White House is occupied by a Federalist. We've grown steadily as a party, and many of our members are garnering national acclaim as writers, politicians, and soldiers. Carpe Diem, my friends. Lets do this.
