So Artela, why should UKWP support you?

On the Domestics side I want more communications in-game, at least bi-weekly cabinet level updates delivered through in-game mechs, and more communication with eBaby's as they are born. I want to continue the library scheme and the Citizen's advice (given they were in my last two manifestos that should be no surprise)
I want to get rid of fortress London, and bring back inter-region competitiveness.

(Fortress London has already gone)

I want to reward people who recruit with real in-game currency.

Question. What is your opinion on the president's announcement that used to take place in the forums and seems to have been neglected?

It will be restarted under my tenure. Communication is key, there should be something a MINIMUM of twice a week, preferably every day if possible.
I also want to streamline the cabinet down to the three main departments (MOFA/MOD/MOHA).

What do you think about invading Ireland?

I think Ireland has some valuable resources, which we ought to be able to share in. And yes, I was heavily involved with Terra, but I am *UK* before anything else, we are no longer in Terra, and I will look after UK's best interests with foreign policy and our many friends across alliances.

But Artela, what if we're bored of hearing that same old **** from you and Woldy and the rest who NEVER keep their promises?

What's your opinion on eUK seeking membership in ONE?

I do not think we should commit to any alliance for the foreseeable future. We need to look after UK this means we want the freedom to pick our friends and invade who we like.

Joining ONE would violate the Strasbourg Treaty.

Indeed it would. That treaty still stands.

You supported Woldy in breaking his promise on war with Ireland, [by blocking] us from invading Ireland, something which was a key part of Woldy's election manifesto.

Terra/Eden blocked that

No you did. Remember your NE block a few days ago?
We quit TERRA so we could invade Ireland then we didn't invade. [eUK = laughing stock].

Oh that! That was because to have done so before we could ensure that Poland weren't going to [run over us] in less than a week would've have been downright stupid. Diplomacy takes time. Unfortunate, but true.

I know a fair number of people want to go charging straight in, but it is cabinet's job to try and make it so that when we do we stand the best chance of succeeding

Yes, I am MOD and I voted No.

Where would you get the eUK a NE?

By negotiating with our neighbours and/or lining up Ireland if that proves possible.

Ok that’s very political but lacking in information.

Let's just say I won't be going around declaring NEs without agreement with neighbours if we're treating it as a TW.

Serious question: What about taxes, specifically income taxes. Any plans to change anything there?

Budgets and Taxes are now Congress matter. I am happy to allow Congress to continue with that responsibility.

What about the worrying value of GBP? Because it is plummeting atm.

The GBP is suffering the same as nearly all other currencies around the world.

And what will you do to help stabilise the currency?

Greatmoff do you have data to back that up? If so I'd love to take a look at it.

Greatmoff
Just because other nations have similar problems doesn't mean we shouldn't look for solutions.

I agree.

Artela I’m not a politician I’m just a concerned businessman asking what you will do to alleviate my concerns if you wish to gain my vote.

I am hopeful that now things like MPPs and RWs cost local currency instead of gold things will stabilise it's a bit soon to tell.

Well surely it'll keep taking currency out of the game and if you don't reprint any more it'll make the currency stronger.

Indeed that's why admins have made this move I think.

Who are you proposing as your cabinet?

Artela
My cabinet is not yet finalised.

If you wish to gain the support of the UKWP would you be willing to give UKWP members positions in the cabinets?

Artela
I will give cabinet positions based on experience for doing the jobs.

That is a "no, I won't 'buy' votes by promising to give someone from a specific party a job"

It isn't just about getting the best currently available it is about training the best for the future.

And for that reason I expect lots of applications to work in ministries to start getting that experience.
