The Question of Michigan

For the third time in my long life in eRepublik, the United States of America came back from a devastating invasion that almost wiped out our brave Republic from the map. Unfortunatelly two of this disasters happened this year and, in my opinion, all the blame falls to the political nomenklature of this game. But I won't write about them now for the subject is long, maddening and sad. No, today I'll write about the good part of the last invasion: what the Spaniards call Reconquista - the reconquering our original States.
It all changed when our enemies gave up defeating the States and fought in other battles, leaving the Serbs and, after them, the Poles alone. Of course it helped that our military stopped fighting for Brazil or other dubious battles when our homeland was invaded but, again, that's another story. So we beat back the Serbs and we are left with Poland as an enemy.
At that moment our Canadian allies came calling. They helped us much in our struggle. So, after some time Poland was American State-free. We went after them all the way to Europe (not a good choice in my opinion but, you guessed, that's another story) and are now leaving them with less and less territories. In the aftermath of this successfull march against our enemies Canada happened to become an occupier of some US States and that was normal, them defeating the Poles in battles for original US States and all that.
But now here comes the problem: the Canadians seem reluctant to liberate our States. Step by step we regained States back from them too. Up till now they fough against our Resistance Force and, to my bewilderment, even put up the RW in Michigan as a battle of the day. I don't know what happened there, me thinking that they are our allies. I heard that, just because they are allies we shouldn't fight in Michigan but what is the logic in that? They shouldn't fight in Michigan! Maybe there is an understanding between our goverments and we should leave them with Michigan as a tocken of our thanks? Really, I don't know and I don't care wither.
We should vote all for the liberation of Michigan by fighing there! If you agree and want to help join us in the Libertarian Militia.

That's the problem with the game: you can either fight logically and win, or sentimentally and lose. As a RL Canadian, I view it as a terrible injustice that we occupy a single square inch of America - Michigan is a state, not a province. However, it is not Michigan we are occupying - it is eMichigan. And until we defeat our enemies, it makes little sense to continue to fight over something that gives a huge benefit to an ally and none to the eUSA.
Defeat your enemies before attacking your friends.

Michigan does the US no good.. On the other side, it is beneficial to Canada by providing them a 20% bonus. There is no point to be wanting a useless state for us when it helps our awesome canadian bros.
For those americans wanting it back for the sake of just having it, your all being a bunch of morons.. Canada can keep it, and i for one, will not fight for any us resistance in michigan just for the sake of having al our states.

Just based on this article you can see that a lot of American ''CITIZEN'' we're agaisnt this so called liberation of yours.
But I guess it's ok, if you guys want to play this game isolated and say a big FU to the rest of the world, it's your business. Maybe one day you will see the benefit of playing as a team. Something Canada and the US regularly does, just like that time when Canada declared NE on Poland to help the US get back on it's feet. That was so long ago right....
Canada has taking a risk by NE Polant to help US to get rid of Serbs and Poles. We had we thought that we be wiped by helping ours allies. But, the strategies work well for us and US got liberated.
Next time, we will let you deal with Pole and Serbs alone, egoists.

So sad people don't understand the game. Alies need to try to share bonuses. Great now US has 12 grain. congrats. Canada helped kick Poland out of US and gave most of the states back with no problem. Higher Bonus for Canada helps the US.

What the hell, we have so many enemies, why do the Canadian mercenaries (not allies - nice one, ghinculov) need a State from the US? Get one from England, Poland, Serbia, Spain, Hungary, Sweden etc.

Are you just trolling or are you that dumb?
A land swap with an ally should have no damage drain. If you could look back at all the other RW but Michigan and Ohio. There were battles that ended with Canada's 5th top fighter with less than 10,000 damage. One even had less than 1,000 for the 5ht top fighter. That means that Canada got it and didn't fight in the RW with a duplicate bonus. If you take out the BH hunters there would be a lot less than 1 mil damage done on the Canadian side per battle.

OO hoohoho. Now we are strategics, a? But when official forces, lead by Gov, fought for Brazil or Australia or Nederlands or France or Germany or... when we were bleeding on the edge of whipped out from the Map - WHAT WAS THAT? Was that strategy too? No, I don't thing so. When better take back Michigan (we did) and NOW we can help our ally Canada to win another grain region but NOT OUR!
We are bros with Canada! Hence the name of us collectively is the Brolliance. And bros share with bros. We were giving them an extra resource boost until uniformed americans took back MI. Giving michigan to the canadians only hurt our pride, not our economy. We could easily spare it
