The Hyborian Age of eRepublik

Day 930, 14:05 Published in USA USA by Cromstar

In the dark past, eAmerican politics was ruled by a number of strong parties. These parties had a deathgrip on eAmerican politics. In today's world, these powerhouses have disappeared. The eworld as I knew it has changed fundamentally, and the landscape of the eUS is irrevocably altered.

This is the Hyborian Age of eRepublik. After the fall of the mighty USWP, AAP, UIP, Libs, and CvP, we've seen the rise of SEES and the Feds. The UIP has been struggling to make a strong comeback. The Libs gave way to TAMA, who've gradually slipped from the high place the Libs once held. The APF has been trying to stay atop the political totem pole.

In this dark age, when all parties are adrift on the tides of the public whim, a strong leader must rise and take a stance. That's what I've decided to do. I want to be the next Party President of the American Progressive Front.

Like Conan brought order to Hyboria in its dark hours, I wish to bring the APF into a new age. The APF has been taking a lot of heat lately. People accuse us of being the 'USWP v 2.0' or that we are disconnected from the public. We've lost a lot of good leaders over the last two months, and we've seen far too many younger members leave as well.

No more. A party is built on its active members. I should know. I served as party president of the CvP/DemReps for 5 months. I'd served as Vice-President and a board member of the party for longer than that. I know what its like, and I can tell you the biggest problem all parties face:

Member activity. It's a pain. All party's must find active members, and then find jobs for them. And the APF is no exception. We need to find our active members and help get them involved ASAP.

We also need better relations with other parties. Sadly, a lot of parties seem to be mistrustful or even outright hateful of the APF. Therefore, if elected, I plan to reach out to all the parties in America (with a few reasonable exceptions) in a mass communication effort.

These are not the only plans I have if elected as the PP of the APF, but they are perhaps the most important ones. The APF isn't in danger of failing anytime soon, but we need to get to work as a party to ensure we continue to survive.

There's a lot of talent in the APF (I should know, I helped found this new party and I've worked with almost every currently holding a position in the party), and we should be tapping into all of it.

So remember, in this dark Hyborian Age of eRepublik:

Vote for Cromstar, by Crom's beard!

PS.

In case you are wondering if I'm qualified, I've held a lot of different positions over my many, many months in eUS politics. In addition to my positions in the CvP/DemReps, I'm in my 14th term in Congress, I served as chair of 3 different committees in Congress, I was Speaker of the House for 2.5 months (longer than any other Speaker), and I've advised almost every CP we've had since Scrabman was elected over a year ago. Ask any of the people I've worked with if I'm qualified, they should be able to tell you.
