This past week, Neron Trocki retired as XO of Easy Company.
I want to spend a few lines honoring his service, extolling his virtues, and explaining his departure.
Neron Trocki stepped up into the XO role because he had earned it. At first, he was tentative about accepting the XO spot, because - as he pointed out - there were plenty of others who had been around longer.
But I promoted him due to merit. He had shown his day-in, day-out dedication to supplying the troops, engaging individuals in getting acclimated, and generally being a vocal presence in a game where most of what I do is behind the scenes.
Neron Trocki deserved to be XO of Easy Company.
During his time as XO, he helped whip the team of QM's into tip-top shape.
He planted the seed that eventually grew into EZC War Games.
He became the hub of our benevolent give-away programs.
He served as a Congressman.
He rang my bell every time I fell behind on something important.
He developed the concept of a Regimental Savings account.
He was a competitor, a contributor, a Captain, a confidant, and a comrade.
Neron Trocki has been an XO during the time which saw EZC grow from the consistenly #6 MU in the country to the #1-2 MU in the country.
Thank you, Neron Trocki.
With the introduction of the new Battle Module, it has become evident that the only way for Easy Company to remain Nationally useful is if we reorganize our Regimental system. The introduction of Divisional Warfare, combined with the importance of the Regimental Daily Order, make it essential to organize each Regiment by Division.
Any MU that does not organize its membership according to Division is clearly throwing away damage.
It is the inevitability of this change that has led to a difference of opinion among Easy Company leadership. Neron Trocki is passionate about the concept of inner-MU war games, and Regiments built not upon Division but upon camaraderie and competition.
So as I have made it increasingly clear that Easy Company will be disbanding its current Regimental system (despite the considerable efforts that went into building it), it became simultaneously clear to Neron Trocki that his vision for a successful MU was not in line with EZC's any longer.
Neron Trocki steps down as XO leaving a crater. I have not yet replaced him because one does not simply replace one's right hand without much forethought.
Neron Trocki has made it known that he is leaving EZC to form his own MU. I wish him luck with that. I have donated a considerable amount to him so that his fledgling MU will take off successfully. I expect that whatever his endeavor, we will always maintain a brotherly relationship with one another.
Neron Trocki, Thank You for your months of service to Easy Company. You are Honorably Discharged from service. Go in Peace.

well, Im glad to be discharged, cause even now you are refusing me access to the Officers board, which was "dead" for "months", last entry was mine, I think ( cant check ) . You say Captains dont get access - I say ok, Im a QM, and mind I remind you I made the list for ranks and "requirements" and so on ... I still qualify for a Officer. You claim I was your right hand , and now you are using it to wipe you ass

Neron, since you continue to want to argue things out in public, I am going to begin joining you. Partly, because you are misleading others in our MU.
twisted-pixel exhibited much patience with you before washing his hands. While he said a few things to you that perhaps he regrets, I KNOW that those things were said only after CONSIDERABLE patience with your constant haranguing and bitter criticism of him.
As for the Forum Boards, the ones you want access to ARE NOT BEING USED. They are being deleted in favor of a new system built on our new Regimental system. The fact that you are taking it as a personal affront (and you are the ONLY one taking it that way) is consistent with your recent discontent.
I wrote the above article in hopes of accentuating the positive.

As to Nemanja's assertion that you were ignored by leadership, nothing can be farther from the truth.
Nemanja, let me assure you that Neron was heard and heard and heard again.
What happens, though, when you either disagree with Neron or when he perceived his turf being impinged upon was that he reacts with violent disdain.
With the advent of the "War Games", NT began to be harder and harder to work with.
When the Beta War Games were not conducted according to his idea of how they should be, he lambasted those who were running them. Those are the grudges he continues to hold even now and despite the fact that those same people have been incredibly patient with him in private conversations, he answers them with vitriol.
When the May War Games were held and the 11th did not outright win, he became even more unmanageable. He continues to maintain that the 11th actually did win because for some reason my kills shouldn't count. Can you imagine what it is like to try and reason with a person who approaches every question from one perspective only - his own?
Neron - I am saddened that you want to destroy your positive legacy with EZC by arguing publicly. You will be missed, and I mean that.
But the longer you carry on this silly bickering IN PUBLIC, the less that will be so.
I can attest to everything that Gnilraps has said here. Neron was a great asset to EZC, and a good friend. but his personal rivalry with twisted-pixel clouded his judgement of every situation he was presented with. He had moments of greatness. But they were followed by moments of insult. by accusations and threats. When the wargames were run in a different fashion than he would have liked, he took it as a personal insult. When the 3rd regiment won, he insinuated cheating on their behalf....
and when the first word came of reorganizing the regiments was discussed, Neron immediately jumped to the stance of "If we change things, I will leave". I believe I can speak for everyone when I say that was a shock, and an affront.
Neron will be missed. DEARLY. But no one should believe that this is some one sided vendetta.

Neron will be missed, but some of his recent actions won't be missed. Since everyone is jumping the 'hey lets make it public' ship now, I will too.
EZC has been working on updating their supplies a bit so that the spreadsheet we use is as automatic as we can make it. It took a while to get it perfect and through that we had some issues with some people not getting the tanks they deserve.
Although I am not a QM and have nothing to do with the QMs I helped make the spreadsheet work better.
One error I found and fixed happened after 2 people got the wrong amount of tanks. After I fixed the error, I messaged neron telling him its fixed and asking him to go back and give two people the tanks they deserve.
His response, instead of being ok, ill go give two people 10 more tanks, was actually 'nope, Im not GQM now, its his job (RJ)'
Although it was not my job, I helped with what I could. When Neron was asked to help fix a small problem we had he bailed and me, luckily RJ fixed it.
1st - I made the war games, you changed it, when it went downhill, it was my invention again
2nd - I have not put any info from logs screenshots or other stuff "public"
3rd - I wont be insulted by twisted-pixel, while he is claiming to follow protocol, he insists on wearing a XO uniform while he is an Lt. barely an officer
4th - I wont copy paste any conversations, yet, I have no time to go through all that now
5th - yes, I am about to make my own MU, but It will not be as I imagined it
also, e5, Ive been a QM for 9 months now, GQM for 6, I have been forced to resign, I see no reason to keep track of all that shit anymore , now others got promoted - not my faul gnil is a brick wall and I cant get info out of him even with a crowbar 😣
anyway, yeah, let EZCs OFFICERS do the grunt work now, Im done, I will only hand out stuff now ( thank you ballmonkey, again ) so look to the wall, see a medic - thats me. my eLife for players, my middle fingers to the upper managment
