The Communist Manifesto: Time for Change

Day 1,315, 12:37 Published in Belgium Switzerland by Monsieur Guillontine

Salut comrades!

UBIP is no more. What has broken out of its cocoon is a butterfly, ready to progress and fly towards the sky, carrying eBelgium along with it. My fellow eBelgians, the time for change has come, and now, the time has come for all who want a better eBelgium to drop their hammers and sickles and to join the Belgian Communist Party!

Why the Belgian Communist Party?

The Belgian Communist Party is a party that welcomes all. We are not like other democratic parties who say that they are very free and accept everyone. Yet, the truth is that you will never actually have a say. Only those members who have been in that party for a long time will. Well, that's one reason why you should join the BCP. We listen to everyone's opinion... everyone is treated equally... we have no biased feelings toward anyone from any background.

The Belgian Communist Party Program

Communes

There are many aspects to the Communist program that I will address. First, the BCP would like to introduce a food commune system that allows our workers to get cheap food, and if we have enough workers, we can even start with a weapons commune system. Now, you might ask why we need another commune system when the military already has one? Well, let me tell you this. The issue with the military commune system is that a lot of times, food and weapons will be delayed. In addition, workers are not getting as many weapons or food as they could be getting. Yes, it is making more "money" than if you were working for a normal company, but, in reality, you could be earning a lot more. In addition, the BCP is against government support towards private companies because not only are these companies uncontrollable, it will not help the economy improve in the long run.

State-sponsored Companies

Companies. Of course, we live in a free world and it is important to allow people to set up their own businesses. But, is that freedom really going to help eBelgium in the long run? Think about it. If there are 100 different small business owners, wouldn't prices fluctuate uncontrollably? Who will be able to control such a problem? No one. That's why the BCP feels that it is necessary to maintain a stable economy through the establishment of only state-sponsored companies. By doing so, not only will the owners stay reliable, but, fluctuations in prices will not occur due to the closely monitored companies.

Government Transparency

Not only will the BCP be working on making communes available to all eBelgians, we will also be striving to implement reforms within the government. It is evident that a lot of times, we don't exactly know where ALL of our money is going to. So, as Communists, we want to be equal with everyone, whether you are the common eBelgian, a congressman, or the president. Everyone must be able to have access to the same information. Nothing must be hidden, and so, therefore, the BCP will make sure that the government has more transparency to allow all the people of eBelgium to be fully aware of what their government is doing.

Referendums

Equally important, in order to make sure that the government has no abusive authority over eBelgians, the BCP feels that it is crucial for the government to activate referendums when major decisions are to be made. The people of eBelgium deserve the right to vote on what they feel is workable or not. It is up to them. Now, some might say this is a crazy idea because random people will vote for the wrong choice. But listen to that... wouldn't that be called controlling? Even if people decide on silly solutions, isn't it their will? Isn't it their country? They are the majority, not the minority.

Fun

Last, the BCP wants to ensure that eRepublik is still just a game. And so, we should treat this as a game. It's all about the fun, right? Everyone knows that it is quite enjoyable to argue and debate over hot topics like merging with the eNetherlands or invading the eUK. Of course, we might not reach any agreements, but the fact that a multi-party state exists allows for all our opinions to be expressed freely. That's why although BCP's views on some issues may seem radical compared to another party's, we all still look forward to making eBelgium a better place, no matter how different our solutions may be.

So, now the time has come for change. It is up to people like you, who decide the fate of eBelgium. Do you want change? Do you want progress? Do you want freedom? Do you want success? If you believe in eBelgium becoming the most powerful nation in all of eRepublik, change must start somewhere. And that somewhere is right here, right now. Now, work with these great communist leaders and their ideas for prosperity, and maybe, someday, you will be standing with them.

Join the Belgian Communist Party! Change eBelgium forever!

Yours Truly,
Monsieur Guillontine
Chairman of the Belgian Communist Party
