Here is some basic information that you might find useful to know as a member of The Party.

FORUM & IRC

Forum Romanium (what's left of it anyway)

Although most of our communication is done in-game, via message threads and our wall, the forums are a great place to have in depth discussions and conversations. Recommended for everyone!
Send me a message with your username on erepublik.no and I will add you to our party forum there.
Our irc channel is #TP @Quakenet. The channel is not password protected and it is open to everyone.


GET INVOLVED

There are many ways to get involved within The Party. If you are new, the first thing I would advice you to do is getting more noticed. If you don't have an avatar yet, get one - it makes all the difference on how other players view you. Update your description, perhaps not a game changer, but it literally takes only 2 seconds. Well worth the effort.

Be social. Chat on IRC, introduce yourself on the forums or comment on a article you think is cool. This brings me to perhaps the most important point, start your own newspaper! Share your views, thoughts and insight. There is no limit to the things you can write about.

If you have been playing for a while and/or are interested in a challenge. Then starting with politics is a good option. I'm not going to lie to you, it has it's ups and downs, but in the end you will have fun and learn a lot. Embassies, vice minister positions or perhaps even congress are great places to start. We are also looking for people that wants to contribute in running The Party, both with day-to-day stuff and more creative tasks.


MEDIA

Every member is free to represent our party in the media as long as it is done in a proper manner. If you are in doubt then just have someone, the PP for instance, read your article before you publish.
This includes the use of our banner, and if you want a signature like the one used in this article then just let me know. I will personally make one for you.


CONGRESS ELECTIONS

Do you want to become a congressman? This is something you should consider.
We want to encourage as many as possible to get involved. Our candidate list for the congress elections will always include both "young and old" players, and that includes the top positions.

The minimum requirements are that you have an account on the forums at erepublik.no (or make one), log in once a day, vote on the law-proposals, follow the rules, have common sense and want the best for our nation.
There is - of course - no reasons to stop there. The more you put into this game, the more you will get out of it.

Before each election we post an article presenting our candidates, but if you are running you might also want to write your own speech. That way you can give more detailed information about your motivations and what you wish to accomplish if you get elected.
