State of the Exec: End of the Road

Day 1,229, 12:00 Published in USA Australia by Justin McCravok

Three and a half weeks... That's how long I've been trapped in this hell hole that they call national politics. Day after day I would sometimes even spend hours working with the eUSA Secretaries to make sure that everything was running smoothly, efficiently, making sure **** got done. But you know what? I loved every minute of it. To say it was anything but great would be a major understatement. It was an excellent experience, truly one that I would encourage others in eRepublik to pursue.

Bumps and Grinds, Positives and Accomplishments

This month has had it's up and downs, as any month does. The first Synergy Polls were disappointing to say the least, and despite cooperation from exec heads, it didn't turn out how I had hoped. Therefore, I had tossed the results from the first Synergy Polls, and renovated it with relevant questions and no personal politicking. I will be finishing off this term with a bang by mass messaging for the next Synergy Poll and leaving the next Chief of Staff to publish the results.

There was also the small storm that I caused on the eUSA Forums over the Training Corp security checks, but honestly, I feel that entire situation was drastically overblown. Then there was the early surge of new talent that left the cabinet during the month...Jacksondr5, Soren Nelson, LexLuthor1, Dan Heylin, and The Time Lord all among the newer prospects we had hired that had ended up quitting. Finally, there was the case of the inactive Interior, in which Athanaric took a small leave of absense leaving his deputy Soren Nelson with no information to recoup while he was gone. I put myself fully at blame for what happened, and am glad that we grabbed an experienced figure in CRoy to recover the department and replace Athanaric. Bewbs 4 Newbs is a one in a million idea.

Other than those three and a half incidents, this month has been one to remember. Glove and the administration managed to improve INCI relations diplomatically, allowing them a total of five English-speaking congressmen for the month. This was something that was a top priority coming into this month, and one of the largest concerns during the term. We also kicked Poland out of the United States, helped stabilize Terra relations, and had some fun squirmishes with Indonesia. Zyria held two White House Press Conferences and Phoenix Quinn published a White House Press Release literally almost every single day this entire term. Speedcat McNasty and Paul Proteus were clutch with the Office of Militia Support, brainstorming and enacting a new and well received formula for militia funding. Jelly9473 kept under 20% inactive ambassadors, a great accomplishment considering the firepower that is needed for State. Syrup's work for the Department of Statistics is something to note and Zyria's revival of Arm America and holding of IRC Drops for food was also a blast from the past. Plus, how can we ever forget to mention the successful launch of the Exec Intern program and the hard work from interns such as Naron, Richard Nixon II, Lietk12, JLake4, Stuart Shepard, and Kixtart/Smack. It may not be the greatest legacy a President has ever left behind, but if you think about it, nothing went terribly wrong, but a lot of smaller things did go right. It's a month to remember for sure, and I'm glad I played the role I did.

End-Of-Term Plans

We don't have many things planned for the end of the term. Other than a little messaging for Synergy and some more Interior hype up programs, everything is really stable and well for the next President to take over. There's a possibility that I will sketch up details of an award show before we head into the next administration, but that's reliant on if I really have anything left in the tank for the month.

That's it for now. I just want to thank the American people for their support this month, both in the public and on the battlefield, and I hope you guys sucked whatever fun you could've from eRep. I also want to thank my secretaries and hell, deputies, for all of their efforts. I couldn't have gotten through the month without help from CRoy, Speedcat McNasty, and Inwegen. All three played a huge role in the month that I had, minus the bad parts.

Update: Hey look, USA declared Spain as a Natural Enemy. How's that for going off with a bang.

Signing off,

eUSA Chief of Staff
