Hi Kids!

I’m running for September CP.


So here’s the deal. Hungary is funny. Then the Ukraine is funny. Then several former allies are funny. Iran and Japan are sympathetic but there is only so much they can do. Some others are possibly interested in helping but remain for the most part silent. Now former enemies who used to make sport of wiping us just for the hell of it defend us, fight for us, even CARE for us. Chile is especially to be noted for this. They have been working with us for months.


Alliances
Good Times, Bad Times

Nebula, this ship has sailed long ago but we had lots of friends. Had being the operative word.

We courted Orion but it’s not really feasible. Canada was keen on our joining and Cuba has been great but the welcome mat has not been displayed. Our association with Chile disturbs them.

Asteria contains many old friends. Australia has been pro-Astria for a long time. Now Asteria is not acting very pro Australia. We should rethink who is on our “friends” list.

Pacifica is the crux of the matter. US, Poland, Taiwan, Russia, varying from mildly friendly to indifferent. Hungary attacks without provocation. When we began to organize for a fight the Ukraine proposed an AS but Hungary knows nothing about that. 😉 After Hungary lands we immediately go about RWing the crap outta them. Then Hungary feigns that it was prearranged, that the AS was done so we could rent them a region and do a TW. Funny I was in the Cabinet thread and never heard that mentioned.

Adriatica members haven’t screwed with us. Chile, one of the members of Adriatica, has actively helped us fighting against Hungarys insult. I think it behooves us to check out those who help us when old friends are at the very least being indifferent.


Why Me?

To be honest I didn’t do well my last time out. I was not familiar how Australia worked. We muddled through, nothing was harmed and no one has it in for me (I think!).

Our community continues to shrink. I’m not the genius to fix that, just making an observation.We have fewer active people all the time. Shame really, those that are still about are friendly and interesting.

What I can do is be a prick. One of two things are about to happen. (Rusty might kill me for airing our laundry in public but I think it needs aired.) Either Hungary is going to stay and we need to make the best deal possible for Austalia or we’re in for a helluva fight. To be blunt, I ain’t in the mood for Hungarian bull shit. You want someone that can stand toe to toe with anyone in eRep to discuss diplomacy? I’m not intimidated, been there, done that. You want someone that can find MUs and countries to fight with us? I know some people and don’t mind asking around either.

I could go on about a Cabinet. As mentioned above people are few. Center of the group will be Katt, Rusty and me. They both will be busy in RL but even then they prove to be more active than most. I’ll do my best to be around several times a day to keep an eye on things.

I will find someone to do MoF.


Final Thoughts

I’m concerned. I moved to Australia to have fun.This is rapidly turning into a lot of work. I don’t want this to just slip into the night. If you’ve got any ideas how to encourage people to wake up please do so. If you can welcome new players and have them want to come back please do so. If not we will just become another empty suit country.
