Second day; A new.

Day 524, 20:03 Published in Japan Denmark by Oraizan

I am so sorry! In my last article I forgot to mention the Orange Party, so I am going to say it now before I get down to business!

Orange Party
Yes I forgot, I really am sorry!

The OP showed GREAT efforts in this election. I believe we got just about everybody in that we wanted, and we are very close to (if not) the party with the most people in congress. I am so proud of everybody! In one week we went from one member, to many. 2 congress people, to top.

When I first joined the OP, this is what I wanted to help Geno accomplish. Sadly, I only was able to bring in a few members compared to what the Zen have done. I really want to thank them for their efforts. I hope that my moral support was enough for Geno.

Congratulations Everybody!

Congress
For those who haven't been taking part in Congress (or reading it), I'm going to do a short report on what has been going on in the public sessions. I urge everybody to join the forums! http://www.aoi-fan.uni.cc/index.php?
(Without registering, you wont be able to understand this part!)

Taxes: http://www.aoi-fan.uni.cc/index.php?showtopic=727
The discussion is still on-going. So far the only topic completely agreed on is the food tax with an increase in import tax, and decrease in VAT. The rest

Rules: http://www.aoi-fan.uni.cc/index.php?showtopic=719
For those who plan to get into congress in the future, this is one amazing proposal. No, it has little to do with eRep. This was initially to post some type of 'rules' on how to go about making an proposal in congress. It quickly became a sticky for "guidelines" or "examples" on how a to properly present a proposal. Kuhaa, I applaud you (and those who participated!). This is definitely something that will benefit eJapan in the future. This topic is still on-going though, and should it pass I am sure those new to Congress will appreciate it

Citizen fee: http://www.aoi-fan.uni.cc/index.php?showtopic=718
I am actually curious about what you think as citizens. This topic is still on-going, and I would love to hear some input about if eJapan thinks it would work.

Promises
When I first ran for congress, i ran on the belief that citizens need to be more active. Also, that I wanted to hear more of your opinions. Well, I am working on that I assure you! All day today I have been doing private surveys on 2 topics; War and Taxes (taxes is still on-going). I realized that taxes are something not everybody understands right away, but -opinions- do not need to be based on facts.

What exactly have I asked? I do not plan to share those detailed answers just yet. But I will tell you that I asked about: knowledge in wars, general war (real RW), war-games, and expense. The general answers were usually informed (even the new citizens!), all saying they would love to participate in war-games, and would defend eJapan, but they don't want a REAL war. The answers were VERY detailed, it makes me proud to be an eJapan citizen!

Many people have been thinking, yearning for a war, so I found these answers pretty interesting. I would like to thank all those people who completed the survey, your opinions will not be ignored!

This is my first step in bringing the public into congress, as my term progresses I hope to start doing more.

Holidays
I am wondering what people thought about the general idea of Holidays. Personally I think eJapan needs to put more fun and excitement into its current traditions. What better way then to have more holidays, and show eJapanese spirit? In the past we have had "Flag Day" which brought some culture and unity to eJapan. Why not have more? Yes, eJapan has to succeed financially, but why can't we have some fun events in the mean-time?

This is currently something I am thinking about, and I would love to hear if anybody has any suggestions for holiday idea's.

Kokawa:
We all know that he is running again! I know my opinion only goes so far, but I just want to let the public know that I support Kokawa 100%. With his ambitions last term running, never giving up, he has proven to be a very loyal, honest, active, and hard-working candidate. Even though he lost last elections, he has not given up hope. He did not run-away when it got tough. When he lost, he never gave up hope. He has continued to do what is in his power. He even moved to create Kokawa Jinja, and organization by the citizens, for the citizens. It had proven a success and I am positive if he is elected we will see more.

Hizumi
I would also like to formally welcome HIZUMI back to eJapan. While we have all had our differences, I hope we can set them aside and all work together to better eJapan. We all love this wonderful country, so why fight about it? Besides... forgiveness is the economy of the heart... forgiveness saves the expense of anger, the cost of hatred, the waste of spirits. While I know many of you have disagreed with Hizumi in the past, I urge you to give him a second chance to prove himself accepting. I am sure we have all grown from this experience.
