Question about light speed
Technician
Two cars A and B are traveling the same speed and they are moving to each other.
Both cars are travelling 100Km/h the relative velocity is 200Km/h
Relativity
Two cars A and B are traveling the same speed and they are moving to each other.
Both cars are travelling 0.6c what is the relative velocity ? It can not be 1.2c since nothing travel faster than the speed of light(c)
Comments
c
No massive object can move at c. It would require infinite energy to accelerate to that speed.

So when they come at each other from opposite directions.
As they approach the speed c. The other care appears to slow down and stop. They both reach .5c then the relative velocity can no longer increase. They are at .6 it is still c. Wonder it they can even observe each other.
Right but you can accelerate to 99% of c
Two object approaching each other at .6 c maybe possible.
very quickly
