Playstation vs Xbox!
Tara C
Which do you prefer, Playstation or Xbox?
I assume many of you play video games. So seeing as PS4 and Xbox One are the two newest of Sony and Microsoft, let me go on about them two.
Prices: PS4 - €399.99 vs Xbox One(without kinect) - €399.99
PlayStation 4 has surpassed 18.5 million systems sold worldwide, while Microsoft's numbers for the end of 2014 indicate 10 million Xbox One consoles have shipped to stores.
Both systems have 500gb hard drives, but only PS4 allows user-replaceable internal drives. Xbox finally allowed gamers to add external storage to their system. There are strings attached. The drive needs to be 256GB or larger and USB 3.0 compatible. External storage isn't an option that Sony supports.
Right now, the PS4 specs make room for faster graphics rendering than Xbox One, especially when combined with Sony's choice in superior system memory.

😛Ground Zeroes - PS4 vs. Xbox One Comparison
In the Metal Gear Solid 5 comparison, there's slightly more clarity to the PS4 version.
It's a trend we're seeing from PS4 games that achieve a 1080p resolution at 30 or 60 frames per second when their Xbox One counterparts run at 720p or 900p at 30 or 60fps.
Sizes and Design:
Xbox One – 10% larger than 360, 'big black box' design, 3.18kg
PS4 – Slanted design, 2.8kg
Xbox One is far, far larger – an imposing black monolith of the living room.
The PS4 is sleeker, slimmer and less likely to dominate your under-TV space.
The extra size in the Xbox One, it’s likely that part of the internal volume of the Xbox One’s case is there to aid cooling. Overheating was a significant problem in the Xbox 360, responsible for causing many of the red ring issues that plagued the console’s earlier years.
The interface of Xbox One is pretty much inspired by elements of Windows 8.
The interface PS4 has a simpler, somewhat less ambitious user interface. As it leaves you scrolling in just one direction most of the time.
Controllers:
The DualShock 4.
The new pad is great for almost all types of console games compared to the Dualshock 3. It's chunkier, and has a firmer feel than the 3. There's also a new touch pad on the front, between the sticks and the main buttons, and a Share button to make uploading your gameplay videos easy. Rechargeable with a wire, or the play and charge kit.
Xbox One pad
The Xbox One pad has rumble motors built into the triggers to give you feedback when, for example, shooting guns. Microsoft has also made huge improvement to the D-pad. The mushy Xbox 360 D-pad has been switched for one that's much more clicky and responsive. It'll work wonders on Street Fighter-style fighting games. Sadly, AA batteries are still needed for this controller.
In the end, I prefer Playstation, even though I have had Xbox 360 for a few years. Playstation just seems better in many ways.
So, the question remains. Which do you prefer: Playstation 4 or Xbox One?
*None of the pictures, and the video belongs to me. (Just tweaked for my liking).

Such a tough one. I started on nintendo and sega, and eventually playstation. I told myself i'd never sell out to microsoft... then i played halo 3. xD I then bought and still have/use a 360.
Microsoft really tried to screw us over and get greedy with their new policies that they decided to cancel after negative feedback before the release, which is one reason they haven't sold as many (that and the kinect coming along with it making it more expensive).
I had intended to get a PS4 until microsoft reversed its policy decisions. My roommate has had an xbox one for months and we're moving out to different places here in a day or two. I've played around quite a bit on it and it's very nice. I'm sure with the next gen both Sony and Microsoft will collectively screw everyone over by implementing said policies together, giving almost no way around having to pay monthly to play. (and not being able to sell used games) But as far as this gen goes, i'll probably get an xbox one when the time (and money) comes around.
So in short, xbox.
Ah, Halo. That was my favourite game until 343 Industries bought rights to it and ruined it!

Voted for great review
Thank you 🙂
Yahtzee.
Can't beat the old consoles but that's just for nostalgic purposes 😜 and I don't think any console will ever compete with PCs to be honest… but in the console worl😛 Playstation will always out perform Xbox in my opinion 🙈
Great article. I still play my ps3 sometimes, but pc is where i do my serious gaming - mostly bc I'm more into strategy games than fps etc. Tbh neither next gen console impresses me all that much, which is why I haven't gone out and bought a new one. If I do buy something it will likely be a sony console... stupid as it sounds I just sort of trust sony more than I trust microsoft, and I find the sony community jives better with me. My best friends also tend to go for sony, which I think is a major factor in what people ultimately buy - they want to be able to game with their friends.
for some frickin reason only monopoly works under the sea in plastic see through baggies of course. but i get an impression other guys are letting me win. especially sharkie.
PC
PC. And none of those laptop bullshits. I mean 1m high housing with 10 ventilators, 28'' monitor, graphic card and processor so powerful that you don't need radiators in your room. wires sticking out of every goddamn connection and naturally no WiFi crap. 20m of wires if it takes to the nearest modem so be it!
yup, no need of heating system here too
Just one 28" monitor?
How quaint 😛
lol i had a friend in Italy that tried to build his own epic desktop. He bought everything based off the ratings of the part. His power supply ended up being so strong it shorted out the power in his barracks room. xD
That's what he gets for bringing a PC to barracks 😛
Pc
SNES
Xbox because the controllers aren't built for kids' hands.
The answer is: PC.
