Open letter to UK-Reform
It is with a heavy heart I am writing this letter. I realise I could have send it in private although I doubt anyone would log onto the forum these days and if I wanted to put it on our party feed I had to cut it down in little pieces.
In a way I feel like a hypocrite for writing you what I am about to tell you. Between 2015 and early 2017 I was a two-clicker at best and I was guilty of the same thing I am getting upset by with you guys. For the past 4 months, or is it more, I can’t remember, I have this nagging feeling that things aren’t alright. We still own 7/9/8 seats in congress and when I see the number of people voting it is safe to say about 25 party members are still alive. Yet our party feed is death. The last two months we haven’t had a single article out in the media advertising our party. If and when I see party members wake up itis mainly to be critical for the players who are putting in an effort.
I don’t feel at home in UK-Reform anymore. During my CP term I couldn’t count on a single party member to have my back. Oh yes you would press a button and vote the way I wanted you to vote but what I needed was players to exchange thoughts with who actively worked with me and not the silent masses that UK-Reform has become. A month later I was MoFa for Roachford which was a little better because we had each other although we never had any real talk before that first day in office. He might have well been from another party we just didn’t know each other. Meanwhile I had stupidly enough stated that Certacito should be Part President and ask people not to vote for me. Another big disappointment to see that he didn’t even manage to have a representative congress list up for election. This month we have Wookie who has his hands full at home put himself on the list for Party President to make sure we have a list of players up. Rob being its minimalistic self is “around”... Dave Trenga always quick to judge but not willing to put in hours either.I could go on but…I also could take it in my own hands were it not that Party Politics is not my forte and never will be.
Today I am leaving MY party with pain in my heart. I feel bad because I promised to guarde the party and by leaving it I am doing the opposite. I need to be able to have a conversation with the people I play this game with. Those conversations are certainly not happening in our party with a discord channel that every few weeks someone says a few words just to not let it die. A party feed where the only thing you read is urgent request of actually putting yourself on the list for party elections or for pointing out how we should not support the most active CP candidate because he happens to be from the wrong political spectrum.
The UK has become so small and inactive it has become ridiculous to have a multiple party system. If I had my way I would throw it all together and have the few active players defend their beliefs within the one party. Maybe a less drastic solution would be a two party system.
Today I am joining UKPP, or the “pirate cats” is how they call themselves now. This must be the most weird thing I have ever done in 7 years playing erepublik. I am not following my heart because that will always be reserved for UK-Reform but I am following common sense. Working in Government month after month who consist of the few active players around who happen to be mostly from UKPP it is the only people I can talk with so I can better just go join them and make communication even more easy that way.
tl;tr: I am leaving UK-Reform and joining UKPP for they are the only ones I
seem to talk with these days.

YOU MUST HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED BY WAYNE!!!
Welcome 🙂
And no need for the " ", it is the Pirate Cat Party, or the bestPCP 😃
Didn't see that coming.
Another of the many successes of my PP term! \o/
When on congress I noticed there was a chat forum but due to the tight vote timing this was never used.
I would like to have discussed the forthcoming decisions but like I said, no time. There was no information out there either about who to talk to about a current vote and so as you have stated we all just "button push".
I did try to pick up some background info but sometimes I missed it, the only person pushing info at the time was our big Gorilla friend.
I just took it that it was the norm?
Fully understandable Mitte. If I hadn’t somehow been voted in as PP I’d probably be joining you.
Party politics makes absolutely no sense with the active numbers we have these days. As you suggest, it’d be much better if all the active population were in the same party so that stuff could actually get done.
I do have my hands full at home currently so although I’m not quite 2-clicking (it’s more like 30-clicking), I don’t have the time to write articles and gather the ‘masses’ behind me to take on the world.
At the end of my PP term, I’ll most likely be joining you to be perfectly honest.
I for one will be glad to see you come to be honest. It does feel a bit weird.
It is not only us is it? It is also ESO, WRP and PCP even TUP although I can't watch in on their activity within.
I sincerely hope others think about it too and join in. Maybe just maybe have some fun debates with a group of players who have their hearts in the UK. Congress seems a too big a step for most to speak out.
i may very well join you to be honest
Please don't.
No AMD... no
The TUP door is always open to both of you. We're more active within the party feed than in Congress - because, to be honest, there's been little that's come to Congress that merits discussion....
None of you had anything to say in Congress about leaving Orion, that was kinda a big thing...
And none of you suggested anything in Congress, so not sure what you discuss about privately...
Look again. I spoke up, asked about the implications. No sense all of us asking the same question, and the explanations that were given upfront pretty much answered any others we would have had. Didn't see anyone else discussing it, either.
So rather than aiding in making congress more active you just use your feed.
and you're not part of the problem because.....?
Did you actually read the post above this? Because it says I spoke up and asked questions. If the rest of congress (and it's not just TUP by any means) doesn't also take part in the discussion, how does that mean I didn't try to help make congress more active?
welcome
Welcome to PCP , always glad to have you on board
I've thought at this point what party you're in is a little irrelevant so I sort of stuck in UKRP cause it's where the squad was. Never really done that level of overthinking about it tbph
eh, you gotta have fun with the game and if that's not happening in UKRP, no shame in joining UKPP. Good luck, Mitte.
Join us, Roachford.
Join usssssssssss.....
Just got WRP to go and then you'll have been in pretty much every functioning party the UK has had...
As long as people pay me the monthly membership, everyone is welcome in PCP...
It is true, when I started in the UK I was in ESO but things in ESO slowed down I moved to UKRP who has been my home every time I came back to the UK after my trips in foreign Governments. The few months in TUP were more pragmatic and to do with working closely with Iain than anything else.
My move now is driven to be closer to the people I talk with every day in Government. It is a good team and stood closer to me than my own party.
The only reason I'm still in any party is because I was already in one and that's been UKRP since pretty much I started
8331 XP until retirement
why 8k? Or did you miss a digit and meant level 200?
level 200 would take years for me to get to, would be a further 250,000 XP
Don't do it! If you do, then send me all your gold and cc 😁😁😁
