On the road - part 5

Day 2,132, 12:50 Published in Slovenia Slovenia by Ice Killa

Ever been tipsy, well mate, drunk? Ever had the chance to observe a friend of mine in Skopje proposing to his girlfriend? Nah? Well? I tell you one thing, it is quite of an experience.

Him and her kissing, like lovebirds just falling in love. Pure romanticism present. While they exchange the terrifyingly long kisses and express the love to each other.

Various other people talking around me in Macedonian, I cannot understand them and in hope of understanding them take a shot of rakija. Aha, I might have some clue what you are talking about now.

I am beside this couple that likes to express love to each other. They have these long bites of love. Quitely and gently do they exchange teenage amor, giggle, and do it all again.

He talks to Her. They passionately exchange kisses. And smile. Eat on and do it time and time again.

The soft music plays in the background. You have this feeling that life has left time behind and that people are living in the ever present moment of Macedonian life. I take another shot of rakija and observe the surroundings. Life is beautiful.

I am quite ashamed. The teenage couple smiles as they with gentle deep reaching views look at each other. They seal the love with mutual kissing. I simply observe it and behold this magic unfolding. She takes a sip of rakija and looks at him with this proper, uncorrupted love.

Then Buce comes along. With his warm hands of superior generosity. Enchanting everyone, mainly his soon to be wife.

A few minutes earlier Buce had just proposed to his soon-to-be wife. And he seemed astonishingly nervous. He wouldn't hide his feelings after the thing was over. With a strong swift move he rubs his chin and exhales deeply in a sign of huge relaxation.

It took him some time to build up the needed courage. Meanwhile the rest of us were just waiting having pointless discussions. Or that thing called making friends. Rakija - connecting people - was the leading motto of that night.
