No fighting in the War Room.

Day 1,979, 05:34 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Jimbojoy

Hi guys and gals, another update for you to get your teeth into. Once again I have been urged to keep this as brief as possible. Needs less Jimbo is the order of the day!

On EoE – Well done again for the epic battle. We're getting Poland to secure us SEoE to save draining our resources, and it'll be a far easier RW Hero medal for you chaps to chance your arm for (I seem to have picked up 2 in as many days!)

On Ireland – We were pipped to the NE last night by Ireland – I heartily blame Steve Jobs, as I was borrowing a friends Mac while mine decided to suffer a mini-heart attack, and missed out by two seconds. AT LEAST I MANAGED TO BEAT CONGRESS YOU LANDLUBBERS! Still despite this setback, we should be the only TWO MPP battle at this time, and with the might of our allies, we can get the initiative (and thus momentum) back in time for tea. The Scottish RW is currently in progress (or done if you're reading this later!) and looks to be going our way. Dig in and prepare to win it well!

On Domestics – This term I've been pleased by how well the NHS is doing in terms of the scope of the supplying, the organisation of the management – making it easier for them to get the stuff out and thus actually have time to enjoy the game – a key part of attracting and retaining great backroom staff, and also with the donations received. We need to continue with the focus and intensity that have been shown so far. A few days ago there was a break in supplies and it was a momentary lapse which happens once or twice in any government month, but was purely down to all the parties involved having a real life, and MoD team supplying hard for battles. It's just one of those things, and no big deal in the grand scheme of things. If anyone, I'll take the rap for a few hours of no food for newbs, but actually we're finding that rather than losing players we're up to grand 170 odd, so something is going right.

Linking into that we seem to have had more new players than normal join in the last 72 hours, let's hope this is a sign of a gradual increase in the recent conflict with Argentina, and focus on keeping them alive and active! To help this along I want to take a step forward, and increase the supplies we're giving out. As the major war with Argentina is all but done (we hope – they still have unlimited airstrikes like a game of Worms Armageddon!) we can look to perhaps reduce MPPs, and will be certainly less out of pocket with less supplies to buy for big battles. I'm not saying that Ireland will be a bloodless fight, but we certainly won't be shitting 30k a week.

On “Change” - I also will have an article out this week about the planned consultation about the eUK official forums. We want to welcome as many people to the debate as wish to positively contribute. So be ready to put your ideas down in words, because I want people's replies to the opening statement in the comments section. This will be important as the most upvoted will be considered most keenly – they'll be the ones that players are most looking for, regardless of whether they are currently involved or not in the offsite commuinty.

Hope this cleared a few things up,

Jimbojoy
