I am Mark Valshannar and I am proud to announce my candidacy in the state of Alabama. I will be running on a joint AAP/SFP ticket. I can't promise that if you elect me on June 25th that PEACE will collapse and wellness and gold will fall off trees. I can promise open mindedness and multi-partisanship.
Transparency
If elected, I will follow other senators in publishing my voting record. This is contrary to the incumbent, Zaidian, who has has not published his voting record at all. Overall I believe that our government is doing a good job at transparency, as the debates in Congress are open to all to see on the eUSA forums.
Military
With the collapse of ATLANTIS I feel that it is more important then ever for the eUSA to step up and be the leader in the fight against PEACE. If elected I will support the movement of our armed forces to fight in resistance wars, like the one that was successful in Greece. We also need to forge new alliances, like the recent one with North Korea, who bravely isn't joining PEACE despite being surrounded by them. The eUSA and it's allies must contain PEACE, on the battle field and at election day.
I support the continuation of war games, they keep our wellness high and help new players understand how to fight in a real war. Sometimes they can have a negative effect but this can be mitigated with a intelligent taxing policy.
Taxes
I support keeping VATs as low as possible. The industries negatively effected by war games also need to have their income taxes kept low so that they have incentive to stay in business. However when we are gearing up for war or other disasters I support raising income taxes to raise the money. Increasing VATs should be a last resort, they have a very negative effect on the poor and newbies among us.
Other Words
I believe that Zaidian, the current senator from Alabama, has not been active enough to be an effective Senator, and has shown little transparency or even activity in his two elected terms in Congress.
I believe that multi-partisanship is important more then ever with the threat of PEACE looming over our heads. Putting person troubles aside is necessary for eUSA to come out on top.

Wut? You promise PEACE will fail? That's a big promise. And how do we do War Games if the British don't war us.
This candidate will not change anything from the bulk of Congress now.

Also I thought that we did wargames by having Ireland attack us. If they are indeed stopped by the British refusing and I am just a clueless idiot on the issue of war games then please tell me. I am always willing to learn.
If it is indeed dependent on the British and they are now refusing then I suggest we either talk with the British and get them to start it back up or arrange them with other nations.
Also if I where to be elected I would be a first term Senator. I can hardly shake the foundations of Congress. What I can do is be open minded and learn the ins and outs of the senate from my colleges.

The British are apparently attacking the Irish soon. It's a recent development, but may be a crucial issue this coming month.
The very least you can do is attempt to make Congress better. From your platform, your ideals are no different than the current administration. I was just pointing this out. That's a perfectly valid opinion, and we will see if it matches the public's on election day.
