Kronos Q for President of EPIC

Day 1,516, 18:01 Published in Canada Canada by Kronos Q

As the 15th once again rolls around, I find myself on the ballot for Party Presidency of the Egalitarian Party of Independent Canadians (EPIC). This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that read my last article.

I am running for Party Presidency to help set EPIC back on track. For a long time, EPIC has been "idling"; doing the basic necessities, but not much more than that. I, and a number of other members, believe that this needs to change, and EPIC needs to better fill the position it has. Though this is not a job for one monkey, I believe that I am a monkey that can motivate, organize, and guide our EPIC members to make this change happen.

EPIC has a long-standing tradition of being a truly democratic party. Very seldom do we "pre-decide" who is going to be the Party President before the in-game election, and we always try to include all of our members on the party's decision for Country President nomination. Our CP Primary Vote is also a much liked feature of our party, with some members saying it is the reason that they joined EPIC. One of my goals as Party President is to not only ensure this Primary Vote runs smoothly next month, but also to ensure that future Party Presidents will easily be able to facilitate the Primary Vote. It is a tradition we have held for 18 months, and it is one we should always keep.

Over the past few days, an effort towards better communication within the party has been in progress. So far, I'd say it's been a success. The 50 or so members who asked to be included have been able to easily discuss topics relating to EPIC with one another. It, from my viewpoint, has provided a better view of what's happening in the party to these members, and has allowed them to bring up topics for discussion within the group. My second co-goal* as Party President is to continue with this communication. This effort is giving our members a better chance of speaking their thoughts about our party, and it would be my duty as Party President that their opinion is taken into account.

*Nosyt is the originator of the communication idea, so it's a co-goal of working with him to ensure the idea's success.

[Insert intro to third goal here. Yes, I'm being rushed and can't think of a good intro for this one 🙁] My third goal as Party President, is to better advertise EPIC in the media. Communication doesn't just mean within the party, but also with the nation. There are very few articles written about EPIC, and I would say that's a bad thing. I can't say that I'm a fan of writing articles, but I do think that it is the responsibility of a Party President to ensure good communication between their party and the nation.

With these three things in mind, I hope to be able to help EPIC rise out of it's rut. It is good of EPIC to fulfill it's duties as a Top-5 Party, but it can do much more than that, and I would like to see it do more. Tomorrow, on January 15th, please consider voting for me as Party President of EPIC. I will do my best to serve the party that I am a part of, and I will do my best to ensure that the party serves the nation that it is a part of.

Thank you for reading.
