Jacques Cousteau for President of Ireland [part.1]

Day 1,258, 04:03 Published in Ireland Switzerland by Jacques Cousteau

"Greetings, fellow citizens of Ireland.
With profound gratitude and great humility I would like to officially announce that I am going to run for the Presidency in May. I think that my time has come and now, I am fully convinced that I can lead, protect and help this country. I want to thank all of you here and all the Irish Union Party, Fenian Brotherhood, Irish Independent Party, Irish Labour Party and The Epic Party members, in all parts of this great country, for supporting my run. We are one people. And we need to end the political strategy that`s been all about division, and instead make it about addition. To build a coalition that stretches through all the Irish political parties.

We seek to establish a harmony between man and society which will allow each of us to enlarge the meaning of his life and all of us to elevate the quality of our civilization. We need to form a cohesive society, and I`ll try my best to accomplish this noble mission. Even if we`ll have to change the Constitution of the Republic for this.

I think all of you knows something about my real life but if not, here`s a short summary:
I am a student, and a “sportsman”. I am studying biology and atomic physics in a Medical University’s cardiology department, and I am a professional water polo player. I have to admit that I am an active folk, which means that I always try to do my best, if I accepted a job, or promised something to somebody. For further information about my RL and eRep career please visit my wiki page. 🙂

We are a small country, with a low population, and without a cohesive community we can`t do anything significant. I am sure. That`s why we need to learn how to respect and help each other, cause we`re from the same nation. My friends, we're not a country that would rather go back than forward. We are all citizens of eIreland, and an Irishman don't hide from history. They make history. We need to see through the “foggy dew” and realize that we need to respect our fellows. If you're willing to work with me, and fight with me, and stand with me in May, then I promise you, we will build a nation worthy of their future.

During my erep career I learned that the citizens aren't interested in an election where they are just talked to and not listened to. So please, fell free to comment any thoughts you have.
We need to listen to each other, and this is the first step of making a cohesive Irish community.
I believe in this country, I believe in Ireland, and I believe in Irish people. I`m sure we can do anything together.
Thank you, sir for reading the first part of Cousteau`s Presidential manifesto and at 5th of May vote for Ireland, vote for Jacques Cousteau.”

Jacques Cousteau,
The Party President of the Irish Union Party
The Irish Minister of Immigration
Teachta Dála for Cork and Kerry.
