Day 655 of the New World; The US Navy, which had been for so long bottled up in the Port of Miami at last made its grand reentrance into the war. On the transports traveling with the fleet, was a force of Marines and the Armies 5th Mechanized Division. The early morning calm over Oahu was shattered as United States Aegis Cruisers opened up with a barrage of cruise missiles and automatic artillery fire. Within moments, Air Raid sirens blared over Honolulu as the Indonesian occupation force grabbed their gear and rushed to the beaches, just in time to see the sky fill with naval fighter/bombers and sea hawk helicopters. Operation: “Hawaiian Punch” was on.

The Marines hit the beaches on the main island of Hawaii and Oahu and immediately charged into Indonesian machine gun and mortar fire. Field reports state that the Marines immediately dug into the sand and called in naval artillery fire and air strikes. Napalm and cluster bombs soon engulfed the Indonesian positions, while the impact vibration of 500 lb JDAMS could be felt all the way to the air craft carrier Abraham Lincoln 30 kilometers off shore. God only knows what it felt like to the Indonesian soldiers when one of those went off a few feet away from them. As the Indonesians fell back, the Marines stormed up the beach to secure positions in the brush.

And then it was the armies turn. Naval landing ships hit the beaches and disgorged II Corps 4th Infantry Division and 5th Mechanized Infantry Division, which had previously been claimed to still be in California. Riding Strykers and Bradley fighting vehicles, the 4th and 5th rushed through the Indonesian lines and soon entered Honolulu where street fighting broke out as the Army and Marines moved to secure the state capital.

Indonesia made its last stand in United States territory along the slopes of Mount Mauna Kea on the main island of Hawaii. Marines and Soldiers stormed the mountain in a tough uphill struggle until they at last had overrun the entire Indonesian position. At the top of Mauna Kea, the Marines hoisted the Stars and Stripes at the highest point in the State of Hawaii. From that vantage point with our flag, this reporter could look out over the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean and realize something. This was the furthest extent of United States territory. There was nothing left to liberate from Indonesia. We had won.

VICTORY! Marines hoist the Stars and Stripes atop Mount Mauna Kea

In Honolulu, the men of the Marine Corps and the US Army temporarily put aside inter-service rivalry as a mass street luau broke out, with grateful Hawaiian citizens coming out to throw flower necklaces on our brave troops. These people had been completely cut off from the rest of the world. In fact, just the day before the start of Hawaiian Punch, they had been told by Indonesia’s propaganda arm that the United States was on the verge of surrender and had agreed to permanently cede Hawaii to Indonesia. Imagine their joy now to be out in the streets dancing the hula and drinking pina coladas with the victorious men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

But the party is only a brief interlude. The Army Times can now confirm that I Corps has relocated to Austin, Texas, and that the 1st and 2nd division are even now engaging the Russian Army in Oklahoma.

And they need your help citizen! If you meet the requirements for service in the US Army, then enlist now and become a part of the team that will free the United States from foreign occupation. Go to http://tinyurl.com/c2f9gg and join the fight!
