This is just a little game online, it's hard to get some advice here, on me. I hope to be wrong anyway. I wish you the best of luck!

Get professional help. Seriously. There is no reason to go through this thing unhappy, not nowadays when we have a decent understanding of why people are unhappy and some ways of alleviating that. It sounds cliche to say "there is hope," but there is: in fact, there's more than hope -- there are solutions. Get some help in finding one that works for you and get the life you, and everyone, deserves.

Eat 3 times at day !
Use not more pc, phone, internet !
Read a lot of books, stay happy with your father and mother, do nice work in home with them !
Walk 1 hour every day and stay at contact with nature if it is possible !
Make 1 hour at day with sport !
Contact a psicology expert and ceck help for your life !
Everytime force your mind to look only the best things and the positive thoughts !
Day by day you will look at the life in a different way and everything can change !
Have really friends and a partner for spend you time !
Love is the secret to be a good life, love first your self and after evryone and everything near you !
Ceck a work and don't stop, one day a good job is there for you !
Don't worry be happy !!!

Let me tell you something: You're no loser. You're young and you have many years ahead to find your passion. Just find out what it is and get after it. Time goes fast. You're in that post-high school period where you don't know what to expect, where you're going, etc. Judging from what I've read in your articles so far, it looks like you know how to express yourself and you're not afraid to do just that. Be thankful for your parents. You are living with them and they want to see you do well. Many people your age don't even have that. You are lucky. You have access to a computer and the Internet, you're a high school grad and you had grades sufficient enough for entry to a college, just for starters. Many of your peers haven't achieved what you have at this point. Recognize what it is that you have going and capitalize on it. When you see the tragedies in the news use those stories for perspective and realize how good you've got it.

We, the depressed, choose to live each day waiting for the moments where we can see the world in true color, hoping to be released sooner rather than later. We may survive through those moments, but when they’re over, we live, we live, we live.

I am in no position to give advice to anybody..

Create. Life is suffering but to pull an aul story up, two orphans were found and kicked out of Beethoven's last symphony. The Glorious 9th. This may sound like side story, but there is consolation to be found in it. As a fellow weary traveler I always thought that story was magnificent, weither it was real or not.

Think about those things that get u think bad about yourself. If those things cant be overcome only just by you, then throw them off the window and keep walking.

Write them down on a paper. Dont overthink about them , just figure out how to prioritize them better. 1-2-3-4-5 etc.

As a Greek i would say that living with parents is a reality in my country until early 30s (even before the so called greek crisis) so i wouldnt say that is something that bad from my prospective 😑 .


As for College degrees. If you think that gaming is the reason why you cant focus on college then cut average time of playing as much as possible. Series are a waste of time too, so just throw them off the window too... They just create false paradigms of how to live your life. If u think that u dont like the subject of your school then start thinking about changing. Occupy yourself with other things that could help you to build up confidence like going to gym. Build up your looks for yourself.

Humanity as a hole goes better year after year, as a certified historian i can say that . Sometimes because of us, idividually , sometimes not. There were famines, wars , natural catastrophies etc but it seems that , atleast for now we are still hanging around on earth.


Life is a gift that comes randomly to us the day we are born. Dont waste it on bad thoughts.

I'll just say, college doesn't mean everything. I dropped out of my first college, and got kicked out due to low GPA in my 2nd college. Now I'm averaging a 3.3 GPA in my 3rd college.

It may just be a case of a bad fit, or maybe the time just isn't right. Don't rush yourself based on others, it doesn't make what you do any less impressive.

Don't think of yourself as a loser. You need to remove that word from your vocabulary. You are very talented and have a lot going for you. You need to think of yourself as Great. But don't just say you're great, you actually need to believe you're great. Be big, bold, work hard and never let anyone get you down. And when life becomes a challenge remember to smile and embrace the challenge.

In addition, I suggest you start going to the gym. Ignore all the naysayers. Take risks! Break with the norms and work hard. Success will come.

every time suicidal thoughts appear, try to think about the consequences for your parents and beloved ones, imagine yourself death and your parents crying at your grave blaming themselves because they couldn't prevent it, if you do that suicidal thoughts may dissapear because deep in your mind you gonna know suicide isn't an option, you don’t want them to suffer so much for the rest of their lifes, that's the first step I would suggest you, please try it and tell me in few weeks how it was. people with suicidal thoughts rarely think in their family or beloved, nor consequences of it when they are going to commit suicide, they lock to the world around them and tend to focus in their negative side, limitations, restrictions, lacks, etc. try to change your mind in that way like GeorgeIV and more people said before him.
I repeat what others said, analyze how you spend your time, then remove gradually everything that doesn’t bring benefit to you, like watching news, tv series, depresive music, pc games, etc. and add positive activities, read books, practice sports, etc. according to what you like but with a positive benefit, it’s very hard to create new habits, but not imposible.
I think that we are like sponges that absorbs everything around us, I’ll finish with a quote, “you are the books you read, the movies you watch, the music you listen to, the people you spend time with, the conversations you engage in. choose wisely what you feed your mind.”

The most important thing; stop looking at Holywood for what your life should look like.

Find things that interest you and focus on them. (Maybe you're on the wrong college?)

Hang out with some friends... Get drunk sometimes and do silly stupid things...

Set youself some easy short-term goals. Like walk for an hour. Excerise for an hour. Learn to cook a simple meal... And stuff like that.
Then set long-term goals (ofc some realistic ones) and gradually plan your path towards them and work on achieving it... A man without goals is a lost man.
And if you fail a few times, don't just give up. Evaluate what went wrong and try again.

I'm from country where even Nikola Tesla could not success. What should i to expect anyway ? You're lucky you have US passport, i will give anything for that one. Find a book The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, this is a good one.

My good dude. You are young and are yet to realize who you really are. I am no professional, I can only tell you what helped me. Then again, we are all different, despite functioning the same. I moved away from my parents and that changed my life completely. That doesn't mean that it will work for you the same way. Seek professional help. That is no shame. We all need help, and we are all alone by default. Try analysing yourself. Observe yourself. Find out what you really enjoy doing (not what you think you enjoy, but what really makes you relaxed, happy, satisfied) and find out what makes you depressed. Whatever it might be. And don't feel guilty for whatever you might find, it is you, and it is ok.

And yes, don't think this will be easy or instant. This requires time and dedication with absolutely nothing you can loose during the progress. Finally, turn all the news off. The news are there to make you depressed, not to spread the word.

Thank you very much for your trust. I'd agree with the players that advise you to seek professional help, for the start you can call a help line. There you can discuss your problems and prepare a strategy. As Baranac1 said, set yourself some small goals first and try to achieve them (don't despair, if you don't - analyse and learn as he said). Would it be possible to call a help line now or at least today? If so, do it.

Bruv, the utmost imperative is to find put what is the MAIN reason for your bad mood. Not the petty myriad of things everybody's got. Is it the relationship with one of the parents, is the feel of not being worthy of the gal you may be dating for years, is it the discrepancy between what you feel you should achieve in and life and what was to be achived already on one side compared to what you actually have (not) achieved? Those are the usual three things when it comes to lads.

Then, trim the hair, shave, get a bundle of cash and go shag a whore. A nice looking one. Rearrange your room, throw away stuff, change the clothing style a bit, upgrade it to a casual fancy one instead of the total casual, for example. Do another whore. Change a girl. That also helps. And turn off the dark tunes if that s the music you re into at the moment. You d have no idea how much of an impact that makes.

Congratulations! You've already taken the hardest step and know you have an issue. No one can solve an issue without realizing it and start to take the steps to get better. You are not alone and not the first to feel this way. I am well out of college and a few years ago my Dad died at the age of 84. He had been sick and we all knew it was just a matter of time. I was surprised how depressed I became, to the point of quitting my job and just struggling to get out of bed to shower to go back to bed. I thought a prescription would help but only made my palms sweat which made my keyboard sticky. So I had to drag myself out of my hole and just start moving. I'm not totally "normal" but know when I'm depressed to do something about it and just moving helps me.

Check with your school, most of them have free help, you just need to ask. Almost everything is hard the first time you do it but it usually gets easier the more you do it. You will adapt, you will still have down days, you will overcome all of life's interesting challenges. You will be available to help the next person who feels the same.

A comment I heard when I was entering high school. "Do what makes you happy before you try to make others happy." I've thought of that comment many times and usually it made it easier to succeed which then made it easier to help others succeed.

Good job starting to help yourself, everything will fall in place.

Going to see/talk with a psychologist would be a great start. It is not a fix all for all of your problems, but this can help and get you on the right track, and sometimes that's all it takes to change your life for the better.

Since you are in college, there should be at least 1-2 psychologists (maybe more if you go to a very large campus) that are employed by the college to help students. And it should be free to talk with them, but you need to look up how to arrange to see them and whatnot.

Also, please don't feel weak/ashamed/embarrassed if you choose to see a psychologist. Everyone is struggling with something that no one else knows about. It is not weak to admit pain, but it is courageous to admit problems exist and to seek help for them.

turn off the tv thats the 1st step to change your mood and perspective! then open a book or two and see what falls into play in terms of what interests you on a basic instintual level and then do some reasearch/soul searching into what kind of discipline will allow you to share the most into whats your concerns and interests might be and find an ocupation in that subject! Do volunteer or free internship if it must this is just a game to waste time on but you should find the right balance beteween happyness time and money by those exact measures ! its diferent for everyone but everyone eventually finds their own rythm and the strenght to walk this plain of ashes we call life and sometimes you can find a flower or a bush that brings you a smile if you got the time to spare and stare at what surrounds you! happyness is hard but if you can find something that doesn´t make you miserable and you can live off that great money and happyness into one if not get the best paying ocupation for the least time possible and then use the money to buy time that you can spend on what makes you happy! some of the most sucefull and happy people i know in life work 4 hours a day making hundreads of thousands and spend the rest of their time doing drugs ! others have found an ocupation that makes them happy and all they lack is time to do more of it! in the end the way your brain is wired will define how you react and compreend the world and what you need to do in it to find some measure of confort both spiritually mentally and fisically!

by the way today by the days end 167.000 people have left abject poverty and can finally earn enough to feed themselfs and around 80.000 will actually have enough to pay for a roof over their heads and maybe even some plummed water and heating ! lifes hard but only when you loose what you don´t value do you really understand its worth! On he budhist way of seing the world attachment brings misery so if you think more money will bring you more happyness good luck with that it only creates more attachment wich will turn the food in your mouth into ashes and drink in your glass into piss! learn not to give a #### and do what makes you happy aslong as that doesn´t infringe on others happiness and you can sustain yourself without depending on others cause depending on others suck and it comes with a heafty price into your self esteem! unleass it´s your parents and grandparent if you didn´t asked to be born you can charge them for their mistake i´m sure they prefer to pay then to loose you i mean they have already invested 1 or 2 decades into you and everyone hates to loose one could almost say they kind of got attached to you! just don´t over do it ofc 3 decades is like the tops you should aim for ! me personally got out of my house by 22 and returned at 30 mistakes happen and its nice to have a back up plan or something soft to land on when you trip! we all do its the fight the climb the strugle that brings me happyness not the goal the goal always ends up seeming empty but the road travelled is what makes it all worth it!

You should set small goals.
Lots of small goals that lead to overall progress will keep us motivated and happy along the way
Take a walk, learn to play guitar, learn programming (for example python), learn new language, exercise each day, meet new people ...

Find one thing, concentrate on it fully. It does not matter what it is, just that you have made the decision to follow a path of mastery.

Start every day with the attitude that what you knew or created yesterday is today's pile of crap and improve upon that. It will. for a time be your shining example of achievement. Tomorrow, it too will be your pile of crap, in dire need of attention.

Find emotional help. It may well involve medical chemistry. Just submit yourself to finding that help, with the aim of making your life a bit more stable. Don't expect great advancement in the immediate, but look forward to feeling much better over the long run.

Beyond this, I have no wisdom to impart, so find people who are much smarter than I am to help.

Ignore those who would destroy your world, they have no validity and dismissing them will improve your life.

I was unemployed and pretty severely depressed ten years ago. Talking through it with a qualified professional got me through the tough stuff. Things didn't change for me overnight, but today, I'm a pretty happy, functional guy.
If you're still in school, I'd go to student mental health. If they don't have someone on staff who can talk to you, they should be able to refer you to someone who can at little or no cost. If you live in or near a major US city, you should be able to find qualified psychotherapists online. You can read their bios and find ones that you might feel comfortable talking to. Many therapists will offer sessions on a sliding scale, particularly for students and others of modest means.

Also, I hope you know many smart, talented people who make great contributions to the world suffer from depression at some point in their lives. There's nothing about feeling depressed that makes you a bad person. It's not something you asked for or deserve. The only thing that would be a shame is not doing something about it when you don't have to suffer. You don't have to keep feeling like this.

As a society, we need to stop putting an expected timetable on "life milestones". We all chug along at our own pace and to our own tune. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out exactly what that tune is, but we've all got value. For example, I dropped out of college, worked for a year (for minimum wage), went back, had no idea what I wanted to do, got academic suspension for a semester, figured out what I wanted to do, and now I'm taking one or two classes a semester because I can't afford it lol.

It helps a lot to have someone to talk with - it can lift a weight off your shoulders you didn't even know was there. Those rough patches really suck, but with the right help I know you can make it through. Please reach out whenever you need a hand.
