Happy Canada Day Canada!

I will be at spending the holiday weekend at my trailer in Harrison Hot Springs. Harrison will have their traditional Canada day fireworks over the lake Saturday night.

This is an actual picture of last years.

I will be starting the day playing golf at the Sandpiper golf course. This course is amazingly beautiful.

There are literally 100’s of bald eagles around this course because it right on the Harrison River where the fishing must be very good for them. Every time I play this course I’m blown away by beauty of the surrounding mountains and water. The only drawback is that sometimes the mosquitoes outnumber the bald eagles about a billion to one.

That is how I will be spending my 150 Canada day. I hope you and yours all have a great time as well this holiday.

In the US we also have a national holiday, it is a bit different. There are many festivities and lots of fireworks... at which time our dogs take the opportunity to inspect the underside of the beds. They are usually finished with the inspection in about one week.

The history of racism, genocide and colonization goes back much further than 150 years. In 1992 we had the 500 year anniversary of that really taking off in the Americas (well, as far as we know - it's not exactly like the continents were only inhabited by saints).

Sure, Canada - both pre- and post-Confederation - is far from perfect but we've also done far more good than bad overall. If you can't see that, fine, don't celebrate, but that's only part of the history we're recognizing today.

I just mention that cause globally nowadays we got a new era that fascism and racism r in daily order.
