I think this outcome has been expected for awhile now. Not because of insults. Not because you "rage quit" but just overall attitudes clashing. Your personality is strong. Very strong and outspoken, but I don't think this is a bad thing. Some times you need a break and in this case, hopefully down the line you will come back just as strong, but with cooled feelings. Playing politics too long can kill you in this game.

Sometimes it's best to stay out of them or simply move.
