Hi Everyone!

I see I have 7 subscribers, awesome. You know, I think that's the maximum number of people I've ever had like the things I write 😛. This article today is more about the friends I've come to know and love over the last 3 years in Erepublik. Especially over the last six months. Did you know that in December 2011 I was a two clicker and a Private in the eUS National Guard?

It's true. Until about January 2012 when I was offered by my friend, mentor and boss Jack Mensley a chance to become a Lieutenant in the guard. I was nervous, worried, etc, all the things you are when you start something new and have no idea what your doing. But he calmed me down, helped me settle into it and today I am the proud leader of my platoon and I think a capable officer in the NG. If your in the Guard and you want to move up, count for something then there are no better officers in the Guard than Jadiv, Axe_Ccident and Jack Mensley.

These three did more to motivate me in game, give me RL advice and be a shoulder when I needed it most. They are my closest friends in the guard, people I emulate and would fight and die an eDeath for. They helped me along my path toward Congress and I am grateful for their belief in me. Especially as it was Axe and Jack who led me to join the AMP where I met...

John Killah

John and I know each other in the NG, he and I always trade jokes, trade friendly barbs and when he got promoted, I think I \o/'d the hardest. He is the hardest working guy I know and is a great friend. Where Jack, Jadiv and Axe can't help me, JK always can and is always a tough boss, expects the best but also coaches and mentors with his heart. He picked me to be the Retention Director for his term, he selected me as his Deputy Chief of Staff under PP Jack Mensley and he has always been there to offer sage advice.

Now that he is Party President, I have never stopped seeing him work hard. He worked hard with the rest of the AMP to get me elected to Congress. He is a good man, a strong man and he is a guy I am proud to call my best friend in Erepublik.

The name of the article I wrote today is Two-Clicker to Congress, it's true. In 7 months I became a 1st Term Congressman, a Retention Director and a Lieutenant in the NG. How? By being mentored, shown the right and the wrong way of doing things and learning respect for protocol and integrity and respect for your fellow soldiers and party members. When we ask you to pop in on IRC or come to game night or even hang out in the public channels its not because we want the best numbers possible, it's because they want you to become something more than a two clicker. They want you to achieve greatness. It is possible to become something in this game if you work at it.

I am living proof.

Before I sign off this article, I have two small announcements: First, my opponent in the Washington State Congressional Election, Oxydow21 was banned for multi's, his integrity knows no bounds.

Also, Friday night at 1600 Erep time we will be hosting an AMP Meet the Departments night in our game room on the IRC rizon server, #amp.games. This is your chance to stop in and visit with the various directors and maybe forge your own path to greatness 🙂
